Pretty nice turnout, 21 in all. Sorry that the weather kept some away, but there will be more meetings in the future. Here are some pics.

My truck, Lucky 77's sedan, fuelpump's truck, and lime merc's coupe.

Finally, Lucky 77's departure, sorry for the crappy video shoot, I am new at this.

Hey Joe, it's Kasey with a "K"... if she finds out you spelled it with a "C", she'll be out for blood!

It was a little chilly, the sun came out but the wind was terrible on the way back home. The car performed flawlessly, it even handled way better than I thought it would. Can't wait till I get some front shocks and get the alignment dialed in. Dirty Tace was my co-pilot, he's not quite as cute as LuckysGal but we both had a good time. The looks on people's faces driving through sleepy little Frankenmuth was priceless. BTW cool video Joe!

I wish I coulda made it like I had planned. I finally got rid of my 38' Willys pickup and delivered to Gross Ils this morning. Now that it is gone and shipped out I can get serious about finishing my 34' pickup so I've got something to drive at the next morning meet.

Um, yeah it was cold. 24 Degrees @ 9:00 a.m. Thanks Andria for taking off to Florida - better me than you, right. I would've smiled more but my teeth would've shattered from the cold. Here's a few more pics of our journey.

Taking it easy out of Bay City. Still, ear protection was a must.

Met Rich (FuelPump) at the gas station. He said he heard us several minutes before we arrived.

He has a sweet '60 he just procured from a fellow Hamber.

You have to get one of these shots

I think Scott was enjoying this.

Looking back out of the roof at Rich.

It was cool to meet everyone. I'm awful with names but I remember a couple of Joe's, a Pete, a Frank and a much cuter Frankie, a Moose, and a Tom.

We rattled a few cages on the return trip through Frankenmuth.

Yes, we were going that fast -

All in all, a successful run. I was happy not to use my wife's parting advice before I left; "Just tuck and roll, honey". The car was actually quite comfortable and rode suprisingly smooth. Why don't you return to Fla. in the summer, Andria?

  10. As has been reported a good time was had by all. Shame we had to go NORTH to get away from the snow. We had 7-8 inches south of Ypsi. Dan had more his way. Look forward to the next meeting...

Yep, we had just enough snow so I could get stupid with a tractor instead of a hot rod. It only cost me $75 for that tow this afternoon. If it would have been a hot rod, it would have been covered by AAA!!!

It was a blast, sorry we were nearly an hour late! I had no idea my boys were running amok getting their pictures taken with every car available.

Cool video, Joe. I wish you could have gotten a video of the chicks face in the minivan. What you don't see is the brake lights and the swerve of her as she shat herself and nearly curbed it because of the Lucky Strike! I think it was too low for her mirrors and too loud for her ears!

Oh, and for those that don't know, Scott's car IS that loud from that far away. Close up it is silent. Well, at least I couldn't hear ANYTHING!

Lookin great scott.....I really missed hamb breakfast, billetproof really sucked....probably only 500 cars....what a waste of a trip. You would've been disappointed. (is that enough lying to make you feel better???) Next year c'mon down and you can drive my ardun powered deuce three window the show if you want. I'll have my private jet pick you and Andria up at tri-city....should be fun!!!

Hey Scott, my wife says you should be ashamed of yourself for pealing out like that. She is laughing at it as well, though.

On your topic that Court should give up my old letter jacket and get a HAMB jacket, she says that's a great idea. Then we can give out medals like the jocks had but these would be for longest burnout, fastest car, loudest exhaust (you win) and longest running project with no end in sight (I win)!

He is easy to pick out in a crowd, though.

Good to see some old faces and meet some new ones since I'm a six day a week guy. Next Saturday off September 6th.

I didn't see where you guys said it took the whole breakfast to get warmed back up...

Pretty cool,, guys with award winning trucks get to sit at the head of the table....GMB tradition!

Great to drive counrty roads this time of year. You can check out every farmers junk pile and look thru the woods to see where all the rusty stuff is hiding. I should have brought my camera....I drove by this farmers place with about 75, 1-2 or 3 row plows all restored lining his drive and backyard.. cool stuff

    See you all again.

I just watched the vid, Jdub. Hilarious. And Danimal, I did see that chick's face as she drove past us. She didn't even want to make eye contact. I was expecting some sign language but nothing. I thought I could see some evasive action on her part in the tiny mirror on the A pillar. What's even funnier are the chuckles from you guys.

Well, I'll forgive it because he's not used to the car yet, but I have to say, for Scott being a race car driver, and with what I know that car is capable of, that was one of the weakest burnouts I have ever seen!

I was hoping you'd show me what she'd do!:)

Perhaps you didn't see the minivan next to me:eek:. I saw them as I started drifting into their lane and backed off.:D Besides, that wasn't a burnout I just wanted you guys to hear the motor a little bit. Yeah, after I get some more brakes and a little better steering we'll see what this heap will do. I think I might as well order set of pie crust drag slicks too. Those hard, skinny Firestones just aren't going to cut it. I'll try and do better next time though:D

Plan B and the Lucky Strike! Sound like a rumble in the making.

Yeah, Tace, you were close enough to feel her fear, I suspect.

Can't wait to do that with Court's truck!!! I mean, I hope his maiden voyage is as uneventful as yours. Yeah. That's what I mean.
