The Air & Space Museum has partly reopened and one display is entitled "A Nation of Speed". Pictures do the talking.

Just to be clear Gary this is downtown Washington D.C.'s Air and Space Museum ....Not the the Steven F. Udvr-Hazy National and Space Museum, which is also open with lots and lots of cool planes, Like the "Enola Gay"
and a P-38J Lightning, unrestored complete with Drop Tank (Belly tank racers take note)

That's correct.

 

Udzr-Hazy also has probably 30+ different airplane engines on display. Cool stuff like the Chrysler X engine!
