Guys, Is there any interest or volunteers that would like to have or support a breakfast on Sun morning. I can carry most of the load but do need some help. If there is no interest I will save my breath.

    Dave,
I want another tour of the yard. It's been too long.
I'll see you out there. PS I got a cuban for ya.

    .

  3. Hey Dave,
Unless others commit to helping, I'm thinking start off smaller. If that works out, then go bigger. The food vendor toes would not be stepped on. For everybody's information, the food vendor wasn't there one meet last season.

    Thanks,
    Kurt

  4. Hey Dave,
    What/where's the "junkyard" at Callaways?

    Thanks,
    Kurt

  5. I say plan on hot, windy and noisy (engines) during the day, and cold and noisy (partying) during the night. You might want to bring ear plugs.

    Thanks,
    Kurt

    Bobby, I hope she's cute!

Kurt, It's at the west end of the dry lake, I store my "junk" there, probably about 200 cars, trucks, planes whatever! a very fun place! George Callaway is the "Mayor" of El Mirage (top points car 2005), and he owns the place. Drop me a PM and I'll give you my cell #. I'll be out Friday early evening and stay all Saturday. I'll be in my T:

Kurt, What would suggest to do to start smaller ? How about biscuits and gravy ?

DrunkRock - The breakfast would be on Sun morning. Probably around 730.

    Hi,
you are doing the HAMB together a month too early :-(
    I'll be there in June.

  10. Michael,

Dont be worried, we go to every meet, so we'll see you in June.

Here is a weather update..it looks like its gonna be windy Fri and Saturday. I live about 15 miles from the lakebed, and it is F'n cold right now (9am) and quite windy.
The EM site says up to 50 MPH gusts Fri, and 30+ Sat. Sunday looks OK

So keep the flying dirt in mind. Goggles and dust mask is not out of line. Its still fun even if its windy. But I'm used to sand flying about every day..

How cold is F'n cold? Lucky

  12. It was high 30's when I left the house at 7:30 and is in the mid 40's now.
Not super cold if it wasn't windy. I have a t shirt, a thermal, a sweatshirt, another hooded sweatshirt, shop jacket and it is still cutting through all that.

Damn it! I would love to go out there but we're heading to the Aces CC car show on Saturday. Anyone not going to EM should check out the show.

  15. It's happening SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY!, too. It might end up being the best day according to the recent weather post.

    Thanks,
    Kurt

  16. According to the EM website, the wind will prevail for Friday but Saturday has nothing noted about it.

Either they F'd up, or it wont be windy Sat.

I'll be there Friday night so I guess I'll find out what it really is when I get there.

I'll try to get an "on scene " weather report out to you all.

If anyone is there Fri or Sat night, look for the big campfire at the far north end of the start of the track. Thats where I'll be.

    See you there, Ray

  18. I wont be right along side the track, but across the lakebed at the North end straight across as the crow flies to the start line.

What time are you heading out?

    Hey everybody,

Besides the Old Crow running, our clubmate Zack (Them! CC) has built an electric Harley. Yes you heard me right,.... and Electric Harley, And he will be the first person to run an electric bike. It's an open record. So it should be pretty cool to see.

    See you out there. Bobby.

Here's a pic of the bike. It's and early pic, and a lot has been changed. But you get the idea.
