So, like lots of folks on here I buy parts out of state and have them shipped. I was wondering if there is a suggested place to post "favors" that myself and others would be happy to pay a little for. For example, I'm looking at buying a rear end that's 4 states away and would happily pay a trusted HAMBer to go out and maybe inspect it and pick it up/store it until I can get out there to get it. Is there a place to put things like this, I just hate flooding the HAMB with requests when maybe we could just have a list of people by location that'd be willing to help. We used to have something similar in the VW community back in the day which was a huge help. Thanks!

This is similar to HAMB relay requests, which seem to help.

I have stored cars at my place for folks, since I am smack dab in the middle of the US.

Yeah I totally agree. I was just wondering if a separate page would be good for posting when/where guys are out and about and might need an ***ist. I hate putting things like that on the main message board and keeping that for builds, technical, history, etc.

  6. If you go under member search and type in the location, it'll give you a list of members in that area, if that helps any. I've done it that way with the same thing you're asking about

Guys post such things when needed, but there's no dedicated place on the forum I'm aware of. It probably doesn't happen often enough to need a dedicated space? Definitely a bunch of helpful guys in here tho. A guy listed wanting someone near me to go check out a car. I messaged him and offered to do it but he already had another member doing it.
