HAMB FEED at BABE'S in Roanoke, Texas FRIDAY night! WHO'S GOING?

It looks like the HAMB Babe's feed is going to be this Friday night at 6:00 for anyone going to the Goodguys Lone Star Nationals. Babe's is about 5 minutes away from the track. If you don't know what Babe's is check out the website. BABE'S

The food is some of the best you'll ever eat and it's served family style. What's better is that it's BYOB. They'll even supply you with a bucket full of ice to keep your beer cold.

We'll take a headcount at 6:00 on their front porch and then put our name on the list - so don't be late! They don't take reservations. The wait may be a while (but it's worth it), so bring beer! You will leave miserably stuffed for only $9.99.

Here are directions from the show...

1: Start out going SOUTHEAST on LONE STAR CIR. <0.1 miles

2: Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto ALLISON AVE. 0.3 miles

3: Turn LEFT onto TX-114 E / HIGHWAY 114. Continue to follow TX-114 E. 3.7 miles

4: Turn RIGHT onto N FRONT ST / US-377 S 0.9 miles

5: Turn LEFT onto RUSK ST. <0.1 miles

6: Turn RIGHT onto N OAK ST. <0.1 miles

7: End at 104 N Oak St. Roanoke, TX

$9.99?!!! I can eat someplace else for way cheaper than that. That Babes place is probably making money. What a scam...

 

I work too far east of there to make it in time.
I had planned on driving out right after work on friday to register the Coupe (too late to register on-line) but they say registration closes at 5:00 along with the show. Guess I'll have to suffer through the line at the gate Saturday morning.
I did however download the form anyway and will fill it out to (hopefully) save some time.

Babe's is some great home cooking, so if you're from out of town, you should try to make it at some point this weekend though. There's another Babe's in Carrollton (North Dallas) that's just as good (I 35E and Beltline)
