Great looking truck

 

Looks just like the one that Ed "Axle" Stewart used for his shop truck in San Diego in 1947 or so.
Used to ride to Mirage with him and then hit the speed shops in LA to sell dropped axles.

Of course then it had the 6 in it!

I drove it home averaging 70-ish and it never got over 180 and the oil pressure stayed at 55-60. has a small leak somewhere and its blowing back on the headers, have to chase that one down. Already bought all the padding and carpet and will have it done tomorrow, sum****** that floor gets hot!

My first thought when I saw the pics was that you had painted it since the color is so H.H.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

The only thing I would do to that truck is FILL THE TANK and drive the hell out of it nice score!!

 

Great looking truck! Hope mine turns out half as nice as yours is. Not traditional, but working on a S-10 frame swap for mine rigt now. Drive the hell out of it, I know Im gonna do the same with mine.

Back in '72, I had the chance to buy a VERY decent (& running) '41 w.swing-away windshild (COOL!) for -- believe it er NOT -- $150.

I didn't have 2 nickels to rub together at the time & had to let it go thorugh my ifngers. SUCH IS LIFE!!!
