Gasser Wars 2006? Sounds like fun! Already got Joplin in August marked on the refrigerator calender. I'd love to see a large showing of Gassers' at the HAMB drags this year. I'm turning up the wick on mine a little bit with a Richmond 5-speed, L-88 aluminum heads and a "bottom-of-the-page" camshaft. Get this, those valve covers with the rare Mickey Thompson breathers once resided on Dick Harrell's back-up Funny Car.

Sam, Where in hell have you been? I've been checking the obituaries every day trying to find out when the funeral was going to be. I didn't even know you were working on a '55. Come on, bring us up to date so everyone will know what it's going to take to "put you on the trailer"  :D

    No I dont!!!

But I have seen you with lipstick all over your face and it wasnt mine.

I need some front spoke wheels for the dragster, so if you can come up with a set, I may be able to get you in the car for a few runs... Deal???

Right now my '57 is more "super stocker" than Gasser. I suppose I could turn up the heat.

I'll see what I can do! How about I just bring you some lipstick? Then you can give me a big ole kiss right before I take off down the strip!

Last year I built the HA/GR dragster and let my '57 Chey go. It needs some love. I've got a 406 and a tunnel ram waiting for a heart transplant.

  24. I lifted the head gaskets late last year and need to oring the block. So I am yanking out the 383 and sending it in to get oringed and sticking in a 327, which may be a blessing in that it will give me some time to sort out the trucks chassis before it ends up on its lid or stuffed in a guardrail. I learned quite a few things last year one being there is such a thing as too much power. The second being that 2500lbs. with 900+ hp in a 100" truck on radir cheater slicks without a cage is like playing Russian roulette every time I pull the trigger on the truck I wait for the bang.
