That's a picture I would love to see! I'm sure Jim would never let me sit in it....my shorts AND the upholstery would need a change!

Cameras, extra batteries, extra memory cards loaded. Not sure if I have any clothes packed, but I got the essentials! Can't wait to enter the building tomorrow.

I called Conrad, owner of the Lopez merc, he had an emergency that took him out of town early in the week, he can't get back until tomorrow night.
it ****s that he and the merc might not make it after all.

 

Axel and I talked and if Conrad can get here by Friday night or early saturday (9;00 or earlier) we will hold an indoor space for him. Hope he can make it as this is the missing link between the early mercs (1939 thru the late 60's) and the late (1980 to present) mercs. Chip Wck Sacramento Rep.

Just wanted to say that after we set up today I walked around and couldnt beleive the history in the Merc Building!

We have our two wagons just as you go from the Merc room to the suede room along with Ron Merles stock Merc and Ralph Finleys Mystrey Merc.

The Hirohata, The Sam Barris, Mercury charlie, the history is amazing! and Believe me, Rikster is taking plennnnty of pictures, I met him today and he has a tri-pod camera and I watched him take pictures of just about every car in those two buildings!

 

I can't wait for Rik's pics, this is soooooo exciting.

 

Yeah,me too...sure they have a blast over there....Rik will cover the vent in any corner anyway,he'll have TONS of great pics...

 

Just got back in from Utah I Guess myself and the Charlie Lopez Merc are not gonna make the Show. Sometimes Family comes first and Honestly I guess it just wasnt meant to be ill just wait for the pics too.

Just want to say Axle and his crew did a awesome job with the Merc Display, its not easy putting something like that together, and we heard from many people how it was a once in a lifetime experience to see it.
Darryl's father would have been humbled and honored being included in such a historical display.
