  1. Ryan decides what, when and who makes the Hamb logo swag,do you understand that it is copyrighted and there are serious consequences stealing it.

Dennis O'Brien does these when Ryan orders them.

As I states at the bottom of the page,,, Steal our stuff, we'll kick your teeth in. HRP

There are members who are looking for these toppers, It does not appear that anyone is making them at this time. I would like to have one for myself also. Im not into stealing or boot legging and do enjoy this forum and dont mind helping out.
So at this point may I ask permission to make some (who to ask?), and have to powers that be contact me so they can be HAMB approved. Im not looking for personal gain here, casting parts and stuff is just another hobby of mine that I enjoy and wanted to help out....
If They dont want any made up thats fine as well, we can just drop it.

They were made by the owner of the forum for forum members after the guys who step up to the plate and join the Alliance buy them first.

Spend the bucks, join the Alliance to support the board and you will be able to get cool stuff first without all the drama .........

and now back to the bitching about tag toppers and shift knobs

  4. Ryan Cochran is the boss and I can assure you when he decides it's time to make them again they will be available.

As suggested earlier, join the alliance and help support the site then you will have a cool Alliance membership firewall tag. HRP

All the HAMB swag is very limited in production quantities. Ryan plans it that way. Several years ago someone made a full size tag topper with the HAMB logo. I think they made 5 or something like that. I would love to have one but if one ever became available, I am sure the cost would end up in the thousands of dollars and I for one would not bat an eyelash until it got to 5 figures...........I would call uncle at that time.
A couple of years ago, a member SAXMAN did the first HAMB shift knobs. I was lucky enough to buy knob number 1. He made 15 knobs with Ryan's approval.........sold 14 of them and auctioned off the last one to support the board. There will never be more of those knobs than 15. It sort of makes all it kind of collectable.

Alliance members usually get first dibbs on the new stuff. For less than a dollar week, you can join the Alliance, support the board and get first dibbs when the new stuff comes out. Join the Alliance.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that you could profit off the board logo without permission from Ryan..................he and his lawyer are drinking buddies...........ask the Jalopyrama guys

No, I want a cast one. Really like the one with wings too..

  9. Actually there were 16 of the first design knobs made. I kept one for myself!:D

Hrm2k is right. Ryan owns the rights to the HAMB name and logo and that needs to be respected. When I made the shift knobs I didn't have any legal agreement with Ryan, just a gentlemen's agreement. That seemed to be good enough for both of us. I feel good about that.

Believe me though, there were lots of guys emailing and IMing me asking me to make them another knob because they missed out and even though I feel bad about that, it's a matter of honor that I wouldn't produce anything with the HAMB name or logo, even for myself, without Ryan's okay.

I don't want to speak for Ryan but my impression is that Ryan doesn't need to market stuff to promote the site and I don't think he is really concerned about making a big profit on it either. I think he does it as a show of appreciation for the members. Enjoy it and appreciate it and don't be a pain in the ass about it and I'll bet Ryan will be willing to do more things like that for all of us in the future.

A much nicer post than the previous teeth bashers. I'll follow up with Ryan to make sure he is ok with it. By the members for the members, that's how it should be.....

  11. My guess, he will not be fine with it. He already uses a company to make the ones he sells, Obrien Truckers, and has a good relationship with them. I would doubt, if he wants to have more tag toppers made, that he is going to want someone taking money away from the Alliance vendor that he has used in the past to make them. Totally not Ryan's style.

  12. Hold up the tuna boat pal!, I didn't invent that saying and was trying to help you understand how the hamb works!

You have been a member here for a whole month so I was offering you solid advice.

If you would scroll to the bottom of the page you can read Ryan's words for yourself! HRP

    It reads......

And like I said, I'm not looking to make money off them. I can make a limited number of them and keep one for myself, give the others to Ryan to do as he pleases and help support the forum.
Yes I have only been a member for a month but been into hot rods for 35 years, do I know everything? No. Are we clear now?

Thanks man! Was thinking I was going to have to grab a dead fish to start slapping people with. LOL :D

  16. So now offering a reason not to do something and trying to be diplomatic about it is considered bitchin'?.

I guess it stupid of me to offer advice from what I have gleamed over the last ten years having seen stuff like this in the past,,but what the hell do I know! HRP

  17. I don't think anyone is bitching. Clear it with the boss and all is good.
