When I was at Papke's place today in Hunington Beach,he has some AWESOME new rockers he's selling. You should check them out. I got one of his fliers and it would blow your mind,how much 49-51 Mercury stuff he has! He's not real good with a computer so I told him I would put an ad in the classifieds for some of his parts. I'm going to his shop next saturday to take the pic's of the parts he wants to sell. I'll let you guys know when I put them on.
OH YEA!!! He does still have the "Grease" Mercury! He's gonna restore it back to the way it looked when it was in the movie....AND DRIVE IT!!!!!

Just saw this thread so I guess I will post some pics to join the Merc club. Bought this car a few months ago and started chopping it 2 weeks ago.

 

Colettamerc. Looks really nice. I like the flow. Will the rear quarter windows be operable- up and down?

Looking good! I would love to see some detail shots around the windows. Are you putting in weather stripping along the top of the windows? I am planning on changing my chop to a hardtop style eventually, but would like to put in some weather strip since I drive mine rain or shine.

 

Thanks for the good comments,for now the quarter windows will be slide in until I decide to tackle the roll down part but there will be glass in the car.

drdave: I will try to get some close ups tomorrow. Also yes I will putting weatherstrip and felt etc. My Merc will be a driver too so it has to be water tight.

Thanks, those rims the owner before me had on it were the first to go and it feels like a different car now with the chop. Im loving it so far but still a ways to go but well worth the work.
