The Badlands merc was awesome in the movie. It was built by Gary Littlejohn and at some point it was in Street Rodder magazine in the 70s painted brown with scallops. The last I saw of it was on ebay and I believe it had billet wheels or something with a 54 Chevrolet grille.

You have to be kidding, serious? That chop was pretty neat, I remember the scene where Sissy was running up to it and you got a side profile shot if you are quick with the remote.

I bought the DVD after 00Mack told me about it. Probably the worst movie ever, but Ive watched it a few times easily. Until he ditches the Merc that is... :D

  17. Sounds like a cool car, I vaguely recall that movie, I'll have to see if I can find a copy.

  18. It was a mild custom job done in the early 80's, so yes they might have added a few things from a 49 Merc, but the title I have says 1950...plus the dash is a 50 dash not a 49.
The rear fender skirts have just been sold as I didn't want the little lip on the bottom just a smooth finish.

Have to find some storage for it now as the guy who was working on it wants it moved from the shop, as it's taking up too much space when he's not working on it...so if any of you know of a garage space for rent in the San Fernando Valley area...please let me know (he's in Van Nuys).
I just need it for storage and not to do any work on the car. It will just be towed when we are ready to work on it next.

    Thanks

    Peter
