Dumb question of the day: any advice on installing lee lenses? I got some delivered recently, cant wait for them to look like this image i found ;

Problem is when i removed the the tail light, i found that the below image, original bezels, everything i highlighted in yellow isnt 'removable' and obviously i cant slide the lense in from behind with that metal in the way.


Saw a guy instagram with lees on his and asked if he had to cut the bezel, and got a 'no' as a response. but cant get ahold of him to ask any more questions.

So, any ideas?

Other than a friend suggesting i glue them over top (will probably look like crap) or cutting them?

I haven't gotten much of a start on my 49 yet, other than finding a few more parts, and popping in a set of Aerostar coils to get some ideas of stance. But my goal is to drive it to Back to the Fifties 2022.
I would like to join the group.

 

Did you ever get this figured out. I have Lee's on order for my 56.

That's great. I haven't kept up with it, like I used to. Life happens, you know. There's still a lot of great pic's and info on there...
