Is there a way to go to your post in a thread with a bunch of pages without looking at every post?

You can go to your profile page and click on your postings and find it that way.

Yes, that works for recent posts but for ones that are aged, that is as daunting as thumbing thru the posts in the thread. I am thinking of the 'Artsy' thread that has popped up recently and has 1322 posts, 45 pages. I don't remember when I posted and not thrilled with the thought of looking thru 45 pages!

if you remember a little bit of what the post said, you can use google to search for those words, plus your user name, and the word hamb or jalopyjournal.

If you find it once, you can get back to it by copying the link "share post #**" that shows up at the bottom of the post. Save that link, and it will take you to that post every time.

  9. Yes search the key words in your post. For example if I wanted yo see a post in a long thread that I made where I mentioned that someone was a "**** waffle" I would search my screen name between **** date and **** date and the key words **** waffle. Then that is what would come up. Well that and no doubt that boss saying that I promised not to call anyone that.

Here's what I have done...first be in the thread you want to search...then go to magnifying gl*** search flag and type your screename in posted by member...

You can add words or a phrase you can remember in the search string (do not select ***les)

The last is select search this thread only...

What this does is bring up any posts in that thread with the words you input...

You don't have to put any search words in and ALL your posts will show up with some text so you could probably spot your post...I have done it and yes searching for old posts can be laborious...but this feature quickly narrows things down...

Thanks to all the others for their methods...Loth is right, huge threads can be a challenge...
