If that would be easier for you Jeff. I think getting one box of stuff might be easier in the end, because like they said above, alot of the time the mail guy wont leave stuff without someone home.....that would be alot of trips to the post office [IMG]

whatever you want to do is fine with me.....

Once again I think you guys are awesome for doing this, I hope we can make a nice contribution to either the family or a charity in the end. What a superb group of people we have here [IMG]

After digging in my stash I will be sending this out to Kris this week for the raffle. Barris Kustom #2 New Condition. Glad to help.

    Attached Files:

  5. Ok, I'm gonna join in and submit a complete set of the late, great Classic & Custom magazine. This is Volume 3, Issues 1 thru 6. All 6 issues are preserved in plastic w/ cardboard backs. All are in very good condition.

These mags were ahead of their time back in the very early '80's. I hope this helps out the family. I will send these out to Cherryblossom right away.

    Thanks to all!

BELLM...thanks for your contribution and support,as well as everyone else so far...
Now, should the plan be 10 chances for 10 bucks?
or break it down to 1 buck per shot and let ya'll get as little or as many shots as ya want?

Glad to be able help out. Wish I could afford more. When will raffle end? Month? 2 months? Assume CherryBlossom will do drawing, very cool of her to go to all this work. We need to keep this going, be nice to make a sizeable contribution in JOPLIN's name on behalf of his brothers & sisters on the HAMB.

In case my other Post gets lost, this is what Tommy sent me after going to the Visitation....

    ------------------------------------------------------------

The family asked that any donations go to the Crazy Horse monument, in care of the mortuary. Jerry had started his life long dream of working with Native American Indians. He went to Cherry Creek, S.D. last year and was supposed to go again this month to take clothes, food and toys. The obit said he was a big star with the children there, in a big way.

The HAMB flowers were beautiful and were placed right in front of the casket. All of the family said thanks to all. I gave his daughter Deirdre a Henry-J (hot wheel) and told her to send it with him. When I left I noticed she had placed it on the lid of the coffin. Tell all of the HAMB’rs the family were very appreciative of every thing being done, and surprised to see the names of people from all over the globe.

That's too cool. The HAMB is a powerful place.

I'm in for the Paypal payment. Is there any way we can edit this post so that all the info ( like paypal account, shipping address for raffle funds, or shipping address for raffle prizes if any one else wants to get in) are in the first post so lazy people don't have too look thru all post to see where to send it.

thanks Sean, I was thinking about it most of the day.

I think it's really cool he was working with the kids and that his family wants the donations for the Crazy Horse Monument.

Cherry Blossom, I am sending the stuff and an envelope or two for the raffle tomorrow.

Johnny, what's it gunna be? ten bucks a chance?

Atch, I put an envelope in the mail today.

    Alright, I'll sweeten the pot.
I have some very odd and sorta corny things to throw in...
    Here goes:

Weird-ohs "freddy Flameout" Testor model (1993) sealed
Wacky Wobbler "sike-o-shriner" bobblehead figure. sealed
Mez-itz "Cinema of Fear" 3 pack horror figures. sealed
Cool "toothpick bird" toothpick holder. never opened
Stray Cats 45 album. "sexy & 17 / Lookin' better every Beer" (ratfink logo on record)
November 1957 Rod Builder & customizer mag (devil Deuce)
Signed and framed 8X10 print that I took on the way to the round-up last month "Carls Corner"

I know that some of these items might seem a little odd, but I have a room full of off the wall shit...
    Hope this helps...

I was telling Atch about this the other day.....
I will be going to the Crazy Horse monument in SD at the latter part of next month, on vacation with my mom. I was thinking if we had a good dontation to give, I could just do it in person.

    Whatchyall think?

Back to the $10 raffle deal... 10 chances or one issue.

If someone is going to physically collect everyones donations in $10 increments and then phsyically write down the name on peices of paper or small tickets... then I think that each $10 donation should get you one chance....
the odds are the same either way, but the workload is 10 times less for the poor sap that has to organize the raffle tickets...
    Exapmle:
let's say we get two people donating $10.00 each...
the ods of winning are still the same...

10 out of 20 chances to win if you get 10 chances.

    or

1 out of 2 chances to win if you get 1 chance for $10.

    got it? [IMG]
    makes sense to me...
    just my thoughts.

I hear what you're saying Hankcash, but it sounds like it has been decided.

How about one chance per envelope?

if all you can send is a buck put it in an envelope,

if you want to donate a hundred bucks and the donation is worth more than you winning, put it in one envelope.

if you want to improve your odds stuff a hundred separate envelopes with a buck in each.

anyway, what's a little effort? we are talking about something bigger than that here.

Ok. Since I am the one collecting the money and doing the leg work here, I agree with Hankcash. 1 chance for $10.00. By spreading out each donation, it just means alot more work for me, even though your chances will be exactly the same. I hope this doesn't offend any of you, but this is what was originally stated in the first few posts, and I think we should stick to it. Your first instinct is generally the right one [IMG]

    Thanks guys [IMG]

    Kris

once again, I'll give my address for those who may have missed where to send the donations:

Not how many chances, but just to know who is in?

Hey CB, just sent ya a twenty through PayPal. Been meaning to do it for a couple of days but the other thread about the lack of response to this got me going today.

One Question, is this a "Winner takes all" raffle or will stuff be raffled separately?
