Projects HAMB relay...been so long, dont even know where to post. Frame Rails IA to HTX.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by fur biscuit, Apr 25, 2018.

  1. Anyone with a truck transiting from Iowa, Le Claire towards Houston? Would like to have a pair of frame rails picked up and moved this way? It is just the rails. Thanks, Doug.

  2. I think that there is a HAMB Relay group. Yep right here.

I don't know how active they are. I think HAMB Relays are a thing of the past.

I got to go to Iowa later this year, La Claire is a little out of my way(actually a lot but who's counting) but I might could get them to KC when I go if that would help.

  3. Thank you! Will get a post in there. Figured I'd at least try.

Im going to Back to the 50's in St. Paul MN in June. If the guy could bring them to the show (if he is going) or meet me in Des Moines, I can get them back to Austin with me.

  5. Nuthin wrong with posting on the main board some of us are old HAMB still.

I remember a cowl that left from upstate New York once and went to SC, then to Texas and back to KC. Took a couple weeks and was a round about trip but we used to do things that way didn't we.

I had a box full of 40 Ford brakes show up at my place from Wisc once when I was on my way to Calif. I dropped them in Fresno ( as I recall) before they went onto a find a home in a shipping container set for Australia in San Diego. I don't even remember who was getting them in the end didn't matter did it.

  6. Reached out, I am always up for a trip to Austin for some BBQ, well, just south of Austin to Valentina's for some good mesquite smoked flavors.

Lots of great BBQ around!! The best brisket I have ever had is at the Throndale Meat Market east of Round Rock. Tiny hole in the wall in a convenience store.
