lookin at a model A bed on Ebay. it's in Lewistown MO. wondered if anyone would be able to pick it up for me and get it on it's way towards Michigan or even Indiana. i have buds in Indiana that could hold it till i go see them or they come up here. it's small and would fit in the back of a pickup truck. if anyone could help me out i would REALLY appreciate it. thanks in advance HAMBers... mike, i'll be coming to frankfort, illinois sometime around 12/30 in an el camino. lewistown is not very far out of the way and i could pick it up on the way. frankfort is just a few miles east of joliet (I-55 & I-80; actually closer to I-57 & I-80). if that would help i can do that. don't know if i could get up there and pick it up ahead of time or not. i don't klnow of any hambers in that neck of the woods. choprods & scarliner are just barely closer to it than i am, but it wouldn't really help out much for them to have it as they would be farther out of my way than lewistown. there's no place to store it at frankfort, but sherry & i could road-trip to somewhere and meet you half way on 1/2/04 or 1/3/04. maybe benton harbor or michigan city or something. or maybe your buds from indianna could pick it up at frankfort. anyway, i'm sure we could figger somethin' out.
that would help alot. i'll be off work at that time so day trip would be no problem. they guy who is selling it says it wold'nt be a prolem holding it a while as long as it's paid for. so if you were able to pick it up right from him it should work. assuming is around the day you make it there. if there are any otehrs out there with ideas lets hear em. otherwise we'l try to make this work. thanks a ton Atch, i'll let you know if i win.... i could drop it off at hellfish's, too. although, depending on what part of town on 90/94 you're talking about, it might not be much longer time-wise to drive half way to mike's. hellfish - how far are you from 80/57?
you guys rock. either way is cool. it's about a 4 hour drive (if that) to Chicago and it's be a good excuse to visit with the windy city boys again. You can drop it at my place if you want. I am on I 72 Between Champaign and Decatur, IL.(on the way to I-57) I could get it up to Sycamore or over to Indy if need be.
i don't know of anything going on for NYE yet. Saying how far I am from 80/57 is tricky because of traffic. I'm maybe 15-20 minutes North of 290, so maybe 30 minutes from 57. Could be more, could be less. You're welcome to crash at my place, Mike.

ATCH, Oilcan said his dad lives in Frankfort or wherever it is your going. if you don't want to drive into Chi-town he can pick it up there and bring it. i'm gonna be there over new years eve. my first choice would be to wrangle an invitation for sherry & me to a hamb new year's eve bash and transfer it there. wouldn't that be appropriate for a hamb gathering? if that doesn't work then i'm up for however you want to do it. meet halfway; use oilcan; etc.
Coldwater is'nt too far at all but i like the excuse to go to Chicago and party with some HAMBers.
