I'll take one of the new design if you're making them.

    Fellow HAMBers,

Over the years, Ryan has been asked about selling all sorts of HAMB merch, and if he really wanted to, there'd be Hokey Assed foam beer huggies and plastic sun visors and beach towels and who knows what all. For the most part, he's really not interested in "marketing" the HAMB like it was the Von Dutch label or some such.

For the shift knobs, let me suggest something that will take a little work and personal creativity. Does anybody have one of the roundish aluminum H-A-M-B gear shift key fobs?

Take one of those, sand or mill the edge down so its 90 degrees to the base, like a coin. Have a knob that suits you turned out of hardwood or milled out of aluminum, drill and tap the bottom like any other knob. Mill in a wide flat circular spot on top that is a nice tight fit for your shaved down key fob, and epoxy it in there like it was a silver dollar. To be really slick, take a worn dremel tip, and smooth out the casting surface around the letters and raised lines.

You'll have the only one like it, and you made it!

    Later, Kinky6

One of the things I dig about the way Ryan runs this joint is the way he approaches merchandising - just enough to whet your appetite, but not so much that it gets whored out - I seriously doubt you'll ever see HAMB merchandise next to the Orange County Choppers crap at Walmart. :D

Somehow that seems wrong to me... ;)

The point of this thread was to get another shift knob going to offer some other way to support the HAMB. I'm not say to stick the HAMB logo all over everything and go crazy. Just a classy piece to accessorize you Hotrod! The Topper and Shift Knob where Great ideas.

That knob shown was super nice, but I appreciate Saxman being a standup guy with respect to the last knob sold. However, if you ever do a redesign so it doesn't compete, I know I would love to have one.:D

Ditto what Don said. I have a few of Saxman's knobs ,including the HAMB one shown, and they are beautiful.

  14. Anyone here know Grasshopper from my link above? Been inactive for several years. I would love to buy that knob back, hell maybe even to auction it off again!

  15. How 'bout this...A new design with the intent that the last one will be sold at auction, and the knobs made either on an as ordered basis, or an order window that everyone has to commit to buying within a certain period so that there aren't a ton of them left over.
A very short run. If you want one you better commit, with your wallet, in a certain number of days, or better yet, hours, or you don't get one.

BTW, put me down for two, one for my car, and one for my knob collection....
