HAHA...thanks, Chris! I've realized it's hard to do something original nowadays that will look as good or as classy as what shops like Barris or other guys were doing in the '50s, so I figured I would pick the things I liked the most from my favorite shoeboxes and incorporate them into mine...

From some friendly suggestions on the east coast and Rik Hoving, I was swayed from running the stock side trim for the '54 Dodge stuff...and I'm glad I listened :)

Tail lights are the same as what Barris did on Chuck DeWitt's convertible...I did them back in 2010 and they should be in primer soon along with the trunk. Grill is a takeoff of the one made by Don Roberts for Bob Dofflow's '50 Ford, and side trim was inspired by Don Carroll's Gaylord-built '49 Ford and the Gator from back east, like Chris posted...

nice chop, i like how its leveled and not crazy slanted like most are nowadays. and i like how you didnt try stretching the roof to its original location without doing anything with the quarter windows.

tip to other people on how to get a nice chop like dkcollard...
on a tudor sedan, if you are keeping the roof in the stock location at the catwalk the quarter windows HAVE to be stretched out accordingly, and if you keep the quarter windows short the roof has to be shortened accordingly. another words just keep the quarter windows in proportion to the roof and vise versa.

yup i think to be original now adays you have to go into the little books and use some ideas that havent been done in a while or not as much.

Wish I still had a shoebox. Heres my favorite one that I had, I dig the 4dr's and would love to find another. I guess some would say my '57 is a shoebox, but I think it's dumb to call tri fives shoeboxes.
