Yes I did! Just trying to find the time to put it back in the car, then put my 8BA in. So close I can feel the cam bumping!

My car uses a Nova/Camaro clip that was narrowed 3" and stepped 4" at the firewall. The step permitted the use of the complete front suspension with stock length springs; ride and handling are excellent. It was too low for a decent turning radius, though, and we raised the front wheel cutouts by 2":

If the frame had been narrowed any more than 3", the upper inner A-arm would interfere with the exhaust manifolds. It's very snug as it is (this is with a SBC).

Count me in! 51 2 door sedan, with 4" chop. slanted b pillars, rounded door corners, rounded hood corners, nosed, decked, shaved door handles, nosed and decked, has s-10 sub with a 350 and 5-speed in it, tilt, leather interior from a late model of some kind but looks really good in the car. Guess thats it for now. Jim

Nick, it looks like you might have the same style heater installed in your car that i have in mine: can you snap a pic of the underdash unit? i thought that mine was aftermarket but i'm beginning to think it's simply a dealer add-on unit. it has a rheostat switch to control the blower speed and no valves or air flaps, just bolted to the firewall. i spotted your firewall block-off plate and the two hoses....

Can I play to? Been a slow work in progress for about a year or so. I have more pics. The guy I bought the car from said he was on the HAMB... so if he sees this... Does it look familiar?[IMG][IMG]

I think you should be over at Street Rodders forum. Friends don't let friends put those rims on a shoebox! I would rather see my crappy 17" steelie rollers on it!

Thanks for the input. They're supposed to be Halibrand copies - aren't those the holy grail of traditional rods? Can't afford the real ones. The guy who photoshopped it made them more like 20's, where they'll be 15's and probably with the wide whites. There are other gasser-style knockoff wheels that I've seen and prefer but $$$$. Gotta save the coin for the rust repair!

The only difference between that pic and my avatar is the wheels and the color. In about 15 years, the car will be my daughter's, so when asked what color she wanted it to be, of course she said "Pink!" Um, sorry sweetie, but no. Try again. "Okay, purple!" That I can live with. 1970/2010 Challenger Plum Crazy.

I guess I could be more HAMB-friendly and paint it flat black with red rims. Oh, wait... ;)
