maybe a park somewhere so we can park the cars and chill... I will research the spot or if someone has a suggestion I want to hear it. I will be outa town and have limited internet until the 28th of Jan. So maybe some time in early Feb we can square up a date and place. Is there any parks near a stripclub? heheh Whats better than bbq, cars and girls.

Well- - I suck at making it to events, but if a BBQ is delivered to OC I'll have to go. I might not be able to bring the Buick yet, but I'll drive something kool. Hell, I might just ride with Fonzie and then I'd be really cool.

Would Mile Square be good? How about the Beach? Could we do this at Huntington or Bolsa Chica beach? Hmm...maybe we'd end up spending more time in the parking lot than on the sand...maybe a park is better. Mile Square is big enough..but I like El Dorado park in Long Beach off Studebaker/605 for having a get-together. Lots of room, trees, shade, etc. Any other ideas?

I always wanted to organize a car show at the park on the cliffs in San Pedro. Cool biker bar there that serves burgers etc too. Plus a cool little town to check out...

Oh did I mention the thought of a bunch of uncorked rods and customs flying over that big fucking vincent-thomas bridge?!!!!

    It's called "Point Fermin Park"

It would be awesome to have a party/ car show/ BBQ anywhere near OC or Long Beach, LA area. I know A LOT of people with cars in those areas and they would all be down to kruise. I live in Temecula, but I go up to Orange County all the time, as I used to live there. Maybe my 50 Ford will be on the road for it if it is toward the end of February. I just gotta install the gas tank and try and drive her, oh yeah, primer her too.

Yea that is a great spot... I have been there... San Pedro is a whale of a town. It would be a great place to take fotos of all the rides there on the cliffs and raise a little hell as well.

When are you thinking of doing it?... the only problem with Pt Fermin park is the parking ... there is a large park off the pamona freeway thats easy to get to from the freeways its called Lake Legg park.. lots of room there ... lots of parking... I think they just charge you like a couple of bucks to park ... its between the long beach and 605 freeways right off the pamona ... kinda central to OC and LA ...

I'm in; Long Beach or OC are good for me. I'd probably bring my wife, so the strip club is not much of a consideration for us.

I'd always thought about seeing if you could get the city to let you park on the grass at Pt fermin but it would be fine for up to 40 or so cars. Just would have to block it off for hot rods only.

Legg lake might be easier though. It's huge and there are multiple large parking lots. Lots of various scenery to look at too. Picknic spots are at a premium though and would require some for-though and reservations. It would be more central to all the surrounding areas too.

  20. if its in so-cal it should be at the beach somewhere, I mean come on. I will go and so will about seven other traditional hotrods that dont own computers but lets make the location something other than a park in Riverside.

I know the bar phil is talking about in san pedro with a bunch of gay harley guys but it is perfect. they would love us there!

Legg lake is in el monte and is quite nice actually.

Beach area parking will be hard to secure on such short notice and expensive but whatever works... I don't remember having to pay at PT Fermin. The biker bar is frequented by the yuppy crowd but it doesn't look like it. It's a pretty grungy looking place that serves good food and "libations." I think they would love us there too.

I do vaguely remember a time when the bikers really showed there and the cops came and regulated parking. It was a bitch to get in and out (one intrance and exit) so it might be best to plan that one a little farther down the calendar. It would really be cool to get to park on the grass there. They have an ould mansion of some kind like outa East of Eaden or something, right in the middle of the park that would be cool to park around.

You know what... I'll see what I can find out. May be it's doable.

Well, count me in too. Legg Lake or Eldorado Park are real big and with some planning could hold quite a few cars. I'd avoid Huntington Beach or Bolsa Chica as the PO-Lice there are humorless and like to take a real long time to give a chickenshit ticket. Super vigilant and intollerant about adult beverages also.

    Them's me 2 cents worth. I know it's a lot from a FNG…

So we decided on a place yet?? The beach seems like most people's choice. What beach isn't packed with cars tho, tough parking. We should prolly get a good date figured out too.

nail down some specifics already!!! if my kustom is done, maybe me and some loco ass gangstas will roll down from sac. i like so cal anyway, know some people to stay with, and there are always shows happenin' (live music). ps, my vote is also san pedro. somethin' about that area.

Eldorado park is good too... and we can reserve a spot there ... its good cuz its really clean .. alot of grass and trees and its a private park so people have to pay to get in so it keeps out alot of the low lifes that tend to congregate at "Public" parks... I dont know about the picnic areas if they have BBQ's .. I will be in the area this sunday so I will go there and check out what they need to reserve an area or if we even have too.. its a huge park so it might not matter... Sammy

same here i would also be bringing my kid with me. point fermin is cool just show up really early and reserve the parking and hope that you don't get jumped by the bikers. [IMG] how about the friendship bell over looking san pedro bay just above the biker bar. as for legg lake and whitter narrows are cool places. besides it's only 15 min from me. they hold alot of car shows/ bar-b-q there. you can also fish there something for the kids.

what about griffith and elysian parks?
