Denise, earlier in this thread, I explained:

    [ QUOTE ]
Haynes Beefy Ts have a reputation as being a high-quality shirt. They're decent, but not outstanding. For about a dollar more, you can get Jerzees ZT shirts, which are available in just as many colors and sizes, but they're a lot softer. They really are much better shirts.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Then you show up, and proclaim that you're going to use Anvil shirts instead.

So, Miss Fancy, do you know or even care about how Anvil shirts are made? Well, it's time you learned. There is a factory in China where the workers are forced to work in 14-hour shifts, making T-shirts which end up being worn by those far more fortunate than they can ever hope to be. The workers are either political prisoners, convicted former record company executives, FTC censorship board members, bracket racers, or Street Beasts telemarketers.

And what is it that gives their "Authentic Pigments" red-oxide, rust-looking shirts their color? Better brace yourself, Bubbette. They are made from used tampons. Just follow this link and read the truth:

    http://www.anvil-t-shirt-scandal.org/made-from-tampons/really-scary.html

(It doesn't always work, but just keep clicking on it.)

    I'm going to be sick.

    --------------------
Your thankless and HUMORLESS racin' buddy, Dave

    [/ QUOTE ]

Who pissed in your cherios this morning? NO WHERE in my post did I state that Anvil shirts WERE the one that are going to be used, I just stated a brand with a color that seemed to suit what folks wanted.

"Miss Fancy", "proclaim", What's your deal? Got a hard-on cuz someone is throwing their 2 cents in? My plan from the start was just to distribute the tees after production but no one seemed to be getting prices and such and I was ASKED by a number of folks to get the ball rolling. You don't have an issue with that, do you? If so, you handle it then cuz it's NOT going to be a fun job. If I had it my way this would have been done and over with by the time cruzn season started but it doesn't look like thats going to happen. But becuase I love the HAMB so much, I'll do whatever necessary to see this t-shirt deal become a reality. Too many people got screwed by the last dude and it won't happen again.

FYI: I know t-shirts. For many years I worked in the sales department for one of the largest distributors of imprintable sportswear in the whole country, Broder Broders. I have actually been inside the plants in the southern States. Anvil's fabic is made in the US and assembled in Honduras. I wasn't able to check out that website that you posted BUT I'm a firm believer in beliving only a fraction of what is written. This Anvil shirt's pigment looks just like all those "red dirt" shirts that are sold over in Hawaii to the tourist, the ones made with "authantic" red dirt from the island. BTW "Authentic Pigment" is the "brand" thats on the lable.

I am certainly NOT going to get in a pissing match over what brand is going to be used. I couldn't really care. It will be a really decent brand. My plan is to check out HankCash's suggestion. You got any constructive suggestions?

I think we should stay with an American Made shirt. I don't think I believe that other statement, but lets keep the shirts Made in USA. I'll buy 2 shirts.

    Ditto.

    I agree. LOVE IT.

Just a question, might have missed it in the past....but are we only going to have ONE color option, that red being it? Or can we do an option or red OR white? Just curious. I look good in red, so whatever works [IMG]

So, just to throw another wrench into the works (and piss someone off for sure!), what if we take Chads setup and throw it on a real red shirt, not some hippy earth tone color. [IMG]

I say go with Django's last for both back and front. And that color. I'd leave it up to whoever makes the shirts as to wether to add WCC black and NSRA Billit Boy white to the list. I'll pay extra for American made. Even more if I can get a pocket for my notebook and pen. Ryan, Say DO IT please and let's get this show on the road! 3XL and I'll take 4 of them. Oh, and get the shift pattern right. I don't want people pointing out we got it wrong. Don't need the guys saying "What's a HMABR. And, you know anyone who's used a four speed will. We're supposed to be the guys who get it right." [IMG]

    sigh....

look: if the shifter logo letter placement is changed it will read wrong. I designed it that way for a reason. Ryan's already adopted it for a variety of uses in its present state.

Django, myself, and anybody that designs and draws for a living will tell you:

    COMMITTEE DECISIONS SUCK.

you can second-guess, fiddle, tweak and fart around to your heart's content, but most of the time it doesn't improve matters.

just print the fuckin' thing. Jesus!

Two color small HAMB logo on the front $1.12 per shirt

Three color shift and pinstiped logo on back $1.33

    5 set ups @ $15.00 each = $75.

The private label "Desert Wash" has the color. It's called Red Rock. It's a pigment dyed 100% preshrunk heavyweight t-shirt. Seamless collar. Taped shoulder to shoulder. Fully double-needle stiched. Generous cut. Comes in sizes small thru 3X. Looks like the color rust.

I get case pricing no matter what quanities I buy. There is no shipping costs involved to get the product from the distributor to the printer then to my place.

    T-shirt costs
    S-XL $3.63
    2X $4.42
    3X $4.68

With the 2 color front and 3 color back these shirts will cost between $6.08 and $7.13 complete. 5 to 7 day turn around time. They will start as soon as the get the artwork.

They should sell for $15.00 each plus 4 shipping for 1 or 2 shirts. If Ryan will set up a paypal order system like he did on the calendars, I'll handle the checks, we can get this thing going next week.

I'd like to have 100 shirts paid for before this starts. At that point 500 shirts will be printed. Mostly large and XL with the 2X and 3X being "custom" ordered. In other words if your a big guy and plan on getting the 2 and 3 x's, you need to send your order right away so all the orders for that size can be tallied together. Did that make sense? [IMG]

I asked the printer if he was fimiliar with which t-shirt manufacturer actually produces the shirts for the "Desert Wash" label but he didn't know. If someone wants to investigate and finds that they are not an American made product and everyone feels strongly about not using this company, thats fine with me.

If there are enough folks that want black or white t-shirts instead of the rust, they can be done. You'll need to send me your money directly here with a note to what color and what size and I'll pick up those colors as well. I just don't want this thing to get carried away with all the different colors and styles available. If this goes smoothly, I'd like to do long sleeve t's and hoodies/sweatshirts in the fall, with Ryans permission of course.

OK, 100 shirts, who's going to send their money today?

    Denise Sheldon
    29129 Oriole
    Livonia, MI 48154

No checks will be deposited/cashed till I go to pay for the shirts.

    1 shirt = $19.00 includes shipping
    2 shirts = $34.00 includes shipping

add one dollar shipping for each additional t-shirt odered.

Non-US addresses, please figure out your own shipping on the USPS website

Does anyone have a better price?

Ryan, this all cool with you?

Chad, I'll send you the email address of the screenprinters. They are expecting your artwork whenever is done.

ALL PROFITS WILL GO TO RYAN TO SUPPORT THE HAMB and it will be a nice chunk of change just like the calendars.

Thanks for all your work organizing this Denise. I'll put my $$ in the mail right now. Can I make a suggestion (if it hasn't already been said). Recap this all and move it to a new post -- this sucker's 22 pages long on my computer. XO Dave

Detonator is right. We should let this thread fade away and start over, partly for the benefit of those who have admitted to the world that they actually thought that I was serious when I said that "The workers are either political prisoners, convicted former record company executives, FTC censorship board members, bracket racers, or Street Beasts telemarketers" and that the shirts are "made from used tampons" and that there really is a Web page at "http://www.anvil-t-shirt-scandal.org/made-from-tampons/really-scary.html" and that "It doesn't always work, but just keep clicking on it".

That's why god made women.....thank you!!!

Someone PM me an address and I'll send off the decals to the person handling the shirts.

If I get a kick back on this - fine, if not at least appreciate what was done......

I was laid off yesterday so the decals I have made are all I can get right now unless I got something back from this to re-invest for more decals.....I am washing my hands of it otherwise.

I want a shirt that says:
Flathead V8 32 Ford Hot Rat Nostalgia NOS Deuce Rod;)
Put "I Pay On E-Bay" on the front! [IMG]

Dave: That link's still down! [IMG]

Waiting for Ryan to set up the Paypal. Not that I don't trust you Denise, I just don't like uncashed checks that I've forgotten about suddenly getting withdrawn from my account. It's the CRS thing. [IMG]

I'll start with 2 of those Custom 3X jobbers and order a couple more in a couple weeks. [IMG]
