Primer red shirts with black and cream and maybe some bright red as an accent. That would be bitchin. THat flash design is cool but it needs some refinement. I like the idea of vintage looking set up. I also like the shift pattern logo Ryan is using on the front page of the Jalopy Journal.
Hey fellas. Let me get by this HAMB Calendar thing and then we will do t-shirts right after. I'll certainly start taking designs and thinking about them... Love the primer red idea....
[ QUOTE ] We're probably looking at $15-$20 per shirt depending on color and number of colors in the screen print. Of course, the more we have done, the cheaper they'll be. Anyway... just throwing out some ideas. [/ QUOTE ] $15-$20 Is REAL STEEP!! I can get them done for less than $8-$10 ( I work for a screen printer, and know what they get the shirts for.....)
Sounds like a good idea. I sure could use another one. XL please . The pocket idea is a good one, maybe put the shift knob logo on it and do some art on the back with a little pinstriping thrown in for good measure. I like the idea of the primer red color, that is something you don't see often used on a automotive themed T shirt. Keep us updated. later plmczy
Badpat has his own press at his place.Hes also set up for shipping/paypal etc.Plus with the US dollar stronger then our Canuck dollar he can get em out even cheaper. The red primer is a damn kewl idea.No more black and white shirts, they're too mainstream!hahaha.........Shiny

[/ QUOTE ] I was figuring that $15-$20 would be the selling price. I'm sure cost would be less than that but the idea is to make some money to support the hamb. Still when we get to that point in the decision process, I'd be open to getting costs from other sources. I definately wanna get the cost down as low as possible so we can get the selling price low. I'd have to double check what the prices I got on the last shirts that I did but I think it was around $12 for beefy-ts with four color large logo on the back and a smaller 4 color logo on the pocket area (no pocket). This was out the door including tax, setup and art fees on a lot of 144 assorted sizes. I know that I could get cheaper but these were 1st quality. I'm sure that 144 would be way low for this group and of course, the more we order, the less per each.
IF Badpat is game, I"ll listen. As far as design. I want something simple and traditional this time and I really like the "primer red" idea...
BadPat, I'm all for having you do this if you want and if we come up with 4 color or less art work. I forget the amount of talent and resources we have on the HAMB. Ryan, I'm glad your on with this. We'll wait until your ready. Just let me know what I can do to help.
Since BadPat is in Canada, it might be best if he sources the shirts. That way we won't hassle with customs.
I told ya this was gonna be HUGE . Now Rix2Six, 1. You have Brush producing the art. 2. If Badpat wants to do the T-shirt production, Kool. 3. On account it was your Kool idea, you need to run the operation. Good luck, looking forward to your worthy endeavor. p.s. If you were getting a t-shirt with large 4 color image on the back and 4 color small image on the front at $12 out the door, that was not a bad deal. It seems most automotive internet t-shirt prices at retail hover at $18. I should think initial sales of at least 400 shirts would be a good start to help Ryan keep the H.A.M.B. bills paid. Anyone else have some thoughts? Joel
I don't mind running the project for this. I like the idea of something other than black/white/gray for the shirts. A coral or maroon would probably be as close as we could get to red primer unless we wanted to have the shirts dyed... adding to the expense. I think that pockets would be a good idea. I don't think they'll be enough demand for long sleeves but I'm willing to be proved wrong on this one. Rick
BP;dont forget i have good connection for t-shirts,if you need large amounts much cheap!! the Reverand
Here's a quick visual. I don't remember who did the shifter logo. This is an extra bit of striping that Dan Barnett did for the calendar. And this time I am POSITIVE that the real Dan Barnett did the work.
Guys i'd even order a hoody for our PNW winter swapmeet outings. You won't be able to spot HAMBshirts when they're covered up by parkas!LOL. Another thought for everyone to ponder....Denise could model the shirts for us.When she takes her shirt off she could just hold the HAMBshirt up and show it to us without putting it on.Cuz shes our topless cruisin buddy! LOL..........Shiny
That design is the shit! I only have two hot rod t-shirts that I wear anymore -- both Hop Up. I'd buy a couple of this though. Very cool. Steve.
Django - that's a hot design man. I know I'm a new guy around here, but I'm definitely down to pick one up. XXL or XXXL....
MoFoMod... I'm pretty sure that Hanes Beefy Ts are all cotton. I'm suggesting those cuz I know they're good, long lasting shirts. I really want to make sure that what ever we do it's gonna be a 1st rate product. Django... great idea! I like it!
I'm in for two of em, at least. 2XL with a pocket... That way i won't have to wear my RRT Shirt to the next HAMB Drags. Hell, Assdragger gave me a rash of shit for wearing it to a Non-HAMB event. Oh well, FatCat needs representation too.
We could allways have one more contest, -just for the shits and giggles. For you newer guys, the present HAMB T-shirt was a result of a such contest, -which Mikey won.
Rix2six, I've been know to do crazier things with alittle Kahlua and Vodka warming my tummy. The "colors" of t-shirts you guys have in mind are called garment dyed and are possible to get. There is a very cool rust colored one available. I'll get a color chart of the others that are available, and scan and post for future reference. (I used to work for one of the largest distributors of imprintable sportwear, Broder Brothers)
