a long time back i had an FMF shirt that was close to that shade of red, but with a little white added. it outrightly didn't appear pink, though. a neat color, perhaps closer to coral?

IMHO the shift logo is a classic... but it's a given and has been done before. I'm not trying to bash anyone's ideas because I really think it's a great piece of line art... in fact our club used a similar version for our shirts over 2 years ago.

I think we should so something that represents the hamb like a simple stylized drawing of a hambers car... you know, something that show's what the hamb is about- traditional cars.

    Just my $.02

I have to disagree Mel. My concept is the perfect HAMB shirt...

ChromedRat suggested Primer Red instead of black or white.

    Dan Barnett did the striping.

Dan Picasso did the shift logo.

I had the idea and created the design concept pictured previously.

So actually, this concept represents the HAMB to a T (pun intended). That's what the HAMB is about. Good people coming together for a greater good. As for the logo being done before... so? Everything we hold dear regarding our cars has been done before. Otherwise they would all be pink with neon and wings.

Hey, this place inspires me. I 'd love to see other concepts.

Like I said before, Whoever does the artwork... wether its one guy or 30 guys, I believe we need at least a few designs and ideas to choose from, not just one idea.

So far I'm sure brush is coming up with some ideas right now. What we've seen are some good ideas so far and I have a few ideas already of my own.

But to make it fair, I think we should have a time where we make sure everyones ideas and designs are finalized, and submit them all at once, so that none get left behind or enter late.

Then once all the designs are posted, all the HAMBers vote for their favorite design. Thats my ideas anyways [IMG]

There's some good ideas flowing! The Contest could be fun. Maybe we can get more than one good design and then run a series of HAMB shirts. Do the winner and after that sells out go to 2nd place and make a run of those shirts etc.

You guys are nuts if you don't take up Brush's offer to do the design. If you get too many guys giving input, you're going to get an Edsel.

Not if people are submitting their own designs. I was just saying that my concept was unique in that multiple people contributed. I'd venture to say that it would likely be one of the only "calaborative" designs in the contest.

    Let's see these other ideas!

  20. Nice shirt, Django! [IMG] Seriously, though...it's a good shirt idea....even if you decided not to use my striping. I think it'll be interesting to see what kinda designs people come up with.

I think Django has a pretty good idea, that would make a damn good looking Shirt. The two Brush just put up look good too.Why stop with one shirt?

As far as printing and distributing, why couldn't the design be sent to the outfit that did Zekes Cookbook? Then no money has to be put out by anybody, and availibility doesn't become an issue. From what I understood, they print the stuff on demand, instead of stocking it. A permanent link could be put on the HAMB somewhere and Ryan could be making money off these, with very little hassle.

    They all look great.

I like the Hemi with the blower...but it should be just a Carter 4-barrel with a bell air cleaner. Dem blowers is just to high tech.

I have a few ideas I'd like to share with you guys and gals to see what you think. Its a different angle, old school, yet simple with no more than 4 colors in any choice. [IMG]
