I agree with everything you said. However, I think a HAMBers car on the shirt is alot different than a few random popular cars on a generic shirt.

For one, they wont look like the other cars on shirts, and two, I think it would give even more sense of 'pride' (if you will), of wearing the shirt.

I know, it sounds kinda dumb, it is just an idea. And for a visual idea on this, I took the liberty of using a pic that 60's Style posted a while back. He doesnt remember posting it, so I guess its ok, haha!

Anyways, its just yet another idea, thats all! And dont piss on the pinstriping job, i was in a hurry to show you what I'm talking about [IMG]

Yeah that's pretty freakin cool too.

Here's my interpretation. I still worry that it doesn't represent the kustom aspect...

I guess a solution would be to do the same design with a taildragger. Hell most people would probably buy them both anyway.

  8. I have been patiently watching this post to see how it's going. I told ya all it was gonna be HUGE . I love the fact that it sparked so much interest, and I hope it equally sparks Moo-La for the H.A.M.B.'s bills.

Gee, we even have a dueling design art show. Man, It's outta sight.

But, a few things need perspective:

Someone has to run this thing with leadership: Rix2six?

Someone has to do/or handle shipping, stocking, waybills: Cherryblossom? ( you Da Girl ).

Who's gonna do the art: Brush,Django, the Monster? ( I now worship the ground that all three of you walk on ).

What's it gonna be? It looks like we can at least sell 400 to 500 shirts as soon as the ink dries.

Now, about design. These three designers are really blowing me away. But, there is one thing that needs to be part of any design. I'm sorry to sound to corporate. It's to identify the H.A.M.B. brand. A logo that is consitent thruout every design so that members of this brotherhood can recognize and gravitate towards each other whenever we cross paths. Make it even more special to be part of this than it already is. The simple logo at the top of the masthead is perfect. Add stripes, someone's ride, whatever.

H.A.M.B. store? At first I thought it was a great idea. Now, I think let a person join and become part of it. I don't care to see people wearing our cool stuff that don't understand.

2cents worth. I kinda feel strange now. [IMG]

  9. P.S. I wanna wear the two shirts above, designed by Django and Monster, NOW! Brush, junp in! [IMG]

All these ideas are great I'm ready to wear any of these, but I agree with peter pan on selling them just to HAMBers.

If we're contemplating using a HAMBer's car, here's one I kinda like.....3/4 shot and all!

rocky's truck might be a good call. for countless numbers of us it screamed HAMB. hell, why not?

in any event, there has to be some image of cars or at least engines on the shirt, to do otherwise would just not seem right to me. i personally dig the idea of having a kustom and a rod on the shirt if it is to be printed in multiple colors. if they will all be primer red, then it would only be logical to have a rod shirt and a kustom shirt, i think. perhaps the shift pattern logo would be a nice item to integrate the two if they are to be on the same shirt, leaving the front plain, save for the traditional HAMB logo on the left front chest. oh, yeah, i hope the artwork of the shirts will be on the back still.

i'm not sure where i stand on artwork vs photos though. too early to tell. these shirts are sure to kick ass regardless.

hey theres some great suggestions and ideas here, this is fun! [IMG]

This is a pic of a HAMBers garage that was in the 'garage art' thread. I thought it looked cool, so i made it look old and added some faded stripes for kicks

Heres your truck Rocky with the same faded stripes

And the front of the shirt as I see it with the pocket [IMG]

Here's the kustom mate to my chopped model A design.

Personally, I'd rather see other shots of Rocky's truck to choose from besides that one. Cool shot but it doesn't do it for me in this application.

Any design/color is fine with me...but I also would prefer a baby doll tshirt instead of a men's small if it's possible! I would be willing to buy several...

I think Monster nailed it with the Rocky's 33 design.
Django has a great design too, but I like the lettering Monster did better. The traditional rods & customs is too small on Dj's design. The garage scene is a great idea too, maybe with another pic tho. I'd like to see BASS's shoebox next to something like the Rocky33 in a garage scene. Or Ryan's 39 and the Roach Rod... [IMG]

Right now I'd go for the Rocky's 33 shirt.

Looks good, 60's. Now just go out and buy some iron-on computer paper and you will have a HAMB T-shirt. Wink.

Since I brought it up, I'll run with the leadership but I'm not sure what there is for me to do. [IMG] We've got plenty of artists, I think badpat is gonna handle printing them, Cherryblosom is gonna handle distribution... etc.

Plenty of the female HAMBers have made it obvious that they dont want just a small sized t-shirt as their only choice. They want a ladies shirt made for a lady. And rightly so.

Here are four popular ladies shirt styles. I'm not sure exactly what you women had in mind, or what styles you like wearing, but heres some ideas.

I also realize that these models and shirt sizes shown here are petite. in the real world there are all sizes and shapes of people. I'll see about showing ideas and shirts with womens sizes and plus sizes, so that no one will be left out.

Lets hear what the gals think of these four so far [IMG]

(the short sleeve would have an image on the back, the sleeveless or tank tops most-likely wouldnt)

and for some of you that asked, I think that the designs should definatly go on the back with just the HAMB letters above the left handed pocket. [IMG]
