Since I'm kinda the head of this project, my call would be that artwork is submissible until we either open up voting or that a final decision has been made, which ever is 1st.

Not trying to go against Ryan but I'd like to see a vote. After all, we're paying for them and wearing them.

This afternoon I read this thread for the first time.

Here's an idea for those of you who want shirts in a different style. It would be possible for you to go ahead and buy whatever shirts you wanted (as long as they're close to the agreed-upon color) and then send them to the screenprinter to have printed with the artwork that will be used on this batch of shirts, and then your shirts could be mailed to you.

Here are my thoughts on the shirts themselves. Haynes Beefy Ts have a reputation as being a high-quality shirt. They're decent, but not outstanding. For about a dollar more, you can get Jerzees ZT shirts, which are available in just as many colors and sizes, but they're a lot softer. They really are much better shirts.

If the choice of screenprinters hasn't been finalized, the shop next door to mine, AZ Apparel, does my T-shirts, and they have told me that they will do their best to beat the lowest bid for them. They are also perfectionists, and their work is as good as it gets. Their very basic and rather lame Web site can be found at http://www.azapparel.net/

If you let me (or them) know how many shirts you're looking at for the first order (probably 100 or 144), and how many colors in the artwork (probably three or four), as well as what brand of shirts you want, then I (or they) will get a quote for you.

my vote goes to the red oxide t,with the shift knob logo......or maybe something that had an "old school"apperance, like an old isky cams type t you saw in the late 50's,early 60's...just a thought.

You guys decide. I like em all. Just tell me who to send my money to, how much, and at what address. Lots of events coming up late spring, early summer. Would like to wear my greaser gang colors, don't want people thinking I'm just some goldchainer wannabe..... [IMG]

The color of shirt has already been determined, Red-oxide/rust looking. They will all be the same color/style for now. Can you imagine trying to keep track of who sent what color t-shirt and what size then trying to get it shipped back to them? Sorry, that's not going to happen on my end. If someone else wants to go thru that hassle by all means, knock yourself out. For now I think we should just keep it simple. Here's the t-shirt, here's the cost, send your money here,(or paypal here) and I'll send you a HAMB t-shirt.

Also, if a HAMB guy isn't going to print the shirts then the "smart", less costly alturnative, would be to use one of the many screenprinters that I have dealt with in the metro Detroit area, therefore foregoing the additional shipping expenses.

Since we sold 500 calendars without even tying, I'm going to guess we're going to sell approx the same amount of t-shirts for the first printing. We'll have a much closer idea once folks start sending in their money or paypaling.

From my experience in the rag business, the printed t-shirts should be sold for $15.00 each with the profits going to support the HAMB. Cost of shipping one or 2 t-shirts, USPS in a priority envelope, is $3.95.

I will call both the screenprinters that I have used before, get prices and report back.

Oh yeah, MexiBilly, your t-shirts in the mail [IMG]

I have had no real response either for or against the T-shirt/decal deal. I am felling like I might just get stuck with nearly 300 HAMB decals that are ready to go NOW. I am feeling the distict feeling that there is little interest in the deal or that folks beleive it can be done cheaper somewhere else. I also feel like noone is going to wait to see what happens with T-shirts and they want the decals yesterday...

I don't have to tell you all this as I am guessing you've read the decals post, but I am covering my bases here.

Kool color but I'd never seen it before so I looked around on the net for shirts that color and it might be a hard one to get. You sure don't want one that fades to pinkish orange or some gay perthimmon color. The closest I saw was a color called "brick".

George, remember the t-shirt I worn alot this summer, especially the B'ville trip? I worn the day we visited Bo Huff's place. It's a garment dyed, rust color. I'll post a photo of it later to see what everyone thinks of the color. It's a 100% cotton, excellent quality tee.

  24. FREE is GOOD.

This is getting stupid. Someone just grab this thing by the balls and get it done.

purplepickup, the colour is not a problem. Haynes, Gildan, Jerzeez, Fruit of the Loom all have variations of rust.

This is why I did this one in the first place. How can anyone complain or bitch about this design because they don't like the car, etc? It's universal
