The nurses were cool...but the security guards sure kept their eyes on us! LOL Actually, when we told them what we were doing, they left us alone.
You guys deserve a pat on the back for upholding the honors! I'm proud of all of you who braved the elements to give this young man and his family a morale boost. GOOD ON YA!!! I, too, hope to meet you all someday. Andy, we hope you continue your battle towards good health and that you and your parents get to go home soon. I know what it's like to be stuck in a hospital for long periods of time. It's not much fun, eh? So, even though you couldn't leave on Friday, at least you got to meet a few good will ambasadors from the HAMB. Now, multiply that by a few hundred, and that's what you have to look forward to in Joplin at the drags next summer. < Excelsior!!

you guys ROCK! that is just the kind of distraction that helps a body heal. I am complety stoked that Andy walked, untethered, out to the cars under his own power.

Hey guys........................ Spoke with Chris today, he sounded very upbeat when i answered..........So i asked "how was it? was Andy hyped?" Answer.................... Holy Fawk! Andy was blown away! He wanted to go for a run! I couldnt help but laugh listening to Chris get excited describing Andy and the emotions he was going through. Another thing that he said stuck out in my mind.........i cant get it out of my mind.......... "they live it!". "What a great bunch of guys!" I couldnt agree more than what Chris said, you all indeed gave Andy another boost to get'r done and come home to his "a"! I bumped into a man today who asked about Andy, sooooooooooo i had to brag about how good HAMB'rs are and how special the HAMBANDY CRUISE was and the generous efforts made to make it possible. He was blown away to know you guys drove you ***es off in the pouring rain to get a smile on Andys face. Regards LEon
