Man that is really the coolest head stone I have ever seen. RIP Andy.

  2. Still brings a tear to my eye when I think of such a wonderful young man, stopped in his path through life....too soon! That is a great tribute to his memory and represents him well. RIP little Rodder...

  3. To endure what Andy did and still have that smile takes courage and tenacity. What a great kid. Sorry that I never got to shake your hand. You are missed Andy. RIP

  4. That is such a great spot, Andy was short on years but more than made up for it in his big heart, with all the "tough guys" coming together and showing that one great kid made a difference in this sometimes uncaring world. Rip little man.

  5. I just happen to be wearing my HAMB Andy T-Shirt tonight ... so it was a bit of a coincidence when I saw this thread pop-up on page 1.

When I opened this thread up ... Wow! ... I was overwhelmed with emotion ... the headstone is a beautiful tribute to Andy.

fitzee & Dunnie - Thanks for sharing this with us.

Tman - There must be some computer virus, trojan, or malware making its way through the "Interwebs" ... 'cuz my monitor is acting up and all fuzzy too.

    fab32 & Weasel - Very nicely stated.

  8. RIP Andy... off to race in a better place

  9. Just yesterday I was thinking of Andy.

I was thinking of his family and the guys in Newfoundland who came together to finish his car and help him drive it to the show.

I hope Chris and his family don't find it to painful to drive it.

Best wishes to all and R.I.P. Andy.

FITZEE, Thanks for posting the pics, you have answered a question for me about HAMB ANDYS resting place, it is a beautiful rememberance.

I would also like to share one of my favourite photos that I look at almost daily as inspiration when things are not going too good.

I second the "newbs do homework" idea. Not being here in those days, I didnt know HAMBAndy.

I must say, what a kid! And, some of you guys make this place pretty special, I had NO idea.

Thanx for sharing this with us. Andy taught this old dog new tricks and I think of him often when I need strength and encouragement. A beautiful monument and wonderful messages. R.I.P my friend. ~Sololobo~

It's pretty hard to find a monument that lives up to the legacy of Andy. That's a heck of a headstone though and looks like a great spot for well deserved rest. I think about Andy a lot. Because of him, my kids get extra hugs and patience from me every day. And because of him, I frequently pass on my opportunities to complain about trivial things. Andy shouldered an amazing load and did it with equally amazing grace and support from his family and friends as they walked down the path that God laid out for them. It's easy to be sad but it's IMPOSSIBLE not to be amazed and thankful.
