My nephew Jonathan (FELIX37) has his two young'uns getting into the old car thing. Here 3 yr old Spencer keeps his 5 yr old sister Elliana at bay while he washes his Mustang. The kids are with Dad all the time in his '37 tudor humpback. Fun times for all.

This is my three and a half year old daughter Cheyenne and "her truck". The kid's more ate up with cars than I am, and is constantly wanting to "drive " her truck or the Scootabaker- she couldn't pronounce Studebaker when her Papaw brought it home, lol. I may have corrupted her from the traditional pathway, though. I recently bought a '93 Corvette because 'vettes are my other passion and it was too good a deal to pass up. Now, she's telling me that she's a Corvette girl and has informed me that she wants a blue corvette of her own. How in the heck will I afford that?! She's always out helping me in the shop- no wonder I can find only half my tools at any given time.

I have a picture of me at 5yrs old helping my dad paint the heads on the block for his '40 tudor.

Now, my 10 year old is an absolute hot rodder. Some kids it's just in their blood. He can't get enough of our Model A:

I also have 4 year old twin girls. One of them is into princesses, but the other is into nothing but cars. Everything to her is a race, she has to go fast all the time, and she's very convinced that the red '54 belair is her car.

  4. I have two little girls that love to ride in my car. They are my life's blood.

my 5 year old has it BAD.... He is in Pre K and the kids made a book, each tracing there hands and writing 5 things they like the best. I was happy to see going to beach in the red truck with dad was one of them. (69 chevy pickup) Our town has a summer concert series/ cruise night and we go every week in the summer. Here's some pics of the beach, working on my 32 Chevy with Clifford (another school project), and Chase kickin back with a PBR at 50's night downtown New Bedford, MA.

I have four... This is my boy showing grandpa he knows how to powershift a 4speed. He's yelling at me right now to hurry up so we go out to the garage. The kid turned down a local fair to stay home and work on cars with dad so I don't think I have to worry about him parking Honda's in my driveway when he's older...:D

    got my nephews hooked early.

my daughter was born on the first so she only a month today, so it will be at least one more month (or when it warms up) before she is in the garage with me.

My boy has definitly got the bug. This pic is a little old but he is always wanting to help when I am in the garage or working with my tools. He's almost 4 now and he has a set of his own tools. He is always wanting to jack up his powerwheels vette and wrench on it. Luckily mom has been pretty supportive too, that is the true battle.

  20. My little boy isn't so little any more, he's 13 now but he's been a car nut from day one. He's into muscle cars and hot rods and has big plans for his '73 Charger and a bucket T he wants to build. One less for the rice crowd, pass it on.

My grand-daughter. We were at the local minor league baseball teams game promoting my club's show, Wheels of Time. We were able to drive around the field before the game. I think she was having a good time!!

My daughter likes to go to shows and has always showed a small amount of interest in my automotive sickness. She's 12 and I didn't realize untill last summer the monster I've created.

A conversation between us while cutting through an alley:

    Daughter: STOP, BACK UP!
    Me: What! (while backing up)

She spotted a late 60's VW bug up on blocks in a backyard

    Daughter: That is so cool!
Me: Yeah, but I hear the heat is really bad come winter time
Daughter: Yeah but look how cool it is.

  28. My daughter is a great helper. She loves going to shows, but she is too vocal about what she likes and does not like. She announced that she wants a early XKE....so I still have to work on her about that. Her favorite car is the "FAST" one. She always asks for rides to school in the 68 camaro.

  30. My 12 y.o. nephew has decided on a 302 instead of a Y- block for his '36 so as to take some weight off the front and better balance the car. Sheesh.
