i'm gonna be in the chicago area for new year's eve visiting my sweetie. kustombuilder might be there, too. sounds like hrlc might be convinced to join in. is there anyplace to have a hamb bash? or anything happening that a bunch of hambers might want to join in? anyone interested in making it happen? thoughts? ideas?
I'm game. I have nothing planned and a road trip to visit and hang out with HAMB folks is a GREAT idea. Can you convince Sherri to host it???
wow! i never even considered asking sherry to host anything like this. i don't know. i'll ask her. we talk about every night so i might be able to have some more info later tonight. i was hoping that maybe a bunch of hambers who normally hang out together might invite us into their gathering. there's a lot of difference between a group who knows & trusts each other having a couple/few additional folks over and someone who doesn't know any of us (except me) inviting an unlimited # of strangers into her home. i'll see if i can make it fly, but i'd guess it's about 50-50 that she would do it. if it were at my house you would all (and i do mean ALL) be welcome to come. we'll just have to see about sherry, though.
Most of us czars (who are HAMBers) and friends ... were just discussing how we didnt know what was going on new years eve... no one has made plans yet. I am sure it will be a topic for discussion at the big C on thursday... Problem with Chicago and NYE ... its a freaking mad house.. and everything is overpriced... sort of like New York on NYE.
