Guys made it to Indy at 6:45EST tonight. We have been celebrating Road Rocket style and just now getting home to post.
The guys have been talking non-stop about their trip for the last 4.5 hours.
There will be tons of pictures that I expect will go on the Road Rockets website sometime next week.

Glad to hear the boys made it home safe after all the **** they went through you know they are going to sleep tonight, or they may say screw it a take off for Austin.......after all they have been through they are now invincible.................

Glad they got home and thanks to all the HAMB helpers out there! As gay as it may sound, journals are a good thing on a trip like that. Also, I'd like to reference this story every time someone knocks a person for installing a Small chevy in their car.

This whole deal with Dustin, Mike and all the Hambers is out standing. What an experience to go thru - good job to Dustin, Mike, the Road Rockets, and all the Hambers. Now guys how are you ever going to top this??

 

I hear ya there! I'm just glad I didn't have any troubles with the Desoto. It still has the original 291 Hemi in it with over a 100,000 miles, not a single problem making it across the country. Hell, we all thought it would've been the other way around.
But really, this is the first chance I had to get on here and see all the help everyone has offered. Mike and I both can't say thank you enough. We went hitting all the cruise-ins last night and the cars are still running good. Metalman, you are one hell of a guy and we had a blast being around you and your engine guy (Todd Budlong)... many thanks to him as well. I'm trying to make this short and sweet without getting too sappy. I'll be puting up a separate thread on the trip with many pics and a couple videos.

These guys are the best. What comes around goes around. They stopped to help us when we had a blow out. I am glad to hear you made it home safely. Hopefully we can do it again next year. We will meet you along the way.
