  1. Rick, you are not the only one, If you ever needed a answer to a Flathead question or a fact about a 1932 Ford Bruce was a walking talking encyclopedia and his knowledge is greatly missed. HRP

Showed up at the Knoxville Street Rod Nats and, as advertised in an earlier post, I wore my black HAMB hat and white beard. I just knew there were going to be dozens of people there I wanted to meet. I took a shower, used both Right and Left Guard and Old Spice Aftershave and not a single soul introduced him or her self as a HAMBer. :(

You have an amazing collection of articles from wonderous cars to collectable items through and including many museum pieces. You have always been cordial and very helpful especially to guys like me who cannot add an app to a phone and thinks jpeg is a form of milf. I would like to visit one of these days with one request... after years in the Corps, I do not eat anything off a hot plate so I would buy all meals.
Also on my list: Jeff Norwell has a ton of knowledge and also Jimmy Six (who I always confuse with Johnny Seven the painter) who has tons of experience..

I’m not going to @ anyone. But as in the other thread, I’d like to spend a few hours with AtwaterMike. He’s got some cool old stories he always shares in replies.
I’d like to knock a few back and just listen to him.
See, I can’t do the Mark Moriarty thing, I’d walk away and get in a wreck thinking about all the cool stuff I’d just seen!

  22. one of the problems we have here now is that the approaching years are approaching too quickly, and we are loosing to many, to fast, so if anyone gets a chance to see someone do it before its too late, hell our door is always open but lately its been kicking our ass. Would like to meet ya all at some point but that probably won't happen so remember to "Keep em between the whites!!"

Really nice guy Pearson. I raced a legends car with Larry. David and I tailgated lots of ol stories. RIP. My recent favorite was a very surprised meeting with Ed Iskenderian. WOW. Cornerstone of hot rodding no doubt. Then at 96, sharper than a tac. And all HAMBers. All have contributions to hot rodding. IMG_20190109_133546157.jpeg

I'd like to meet almost any/all of you, but a couple way up on my list would be Ryan, Josh Shaw, Rottenleonard, Attwater Mike, Squirrel, in no particular order(although I'd really like to pick Rottenleonard's mind!!!), & so many others....

One I forgot to mention is a guy who doesn’t post much, but I’ve enjoyed his writing for years, Pat Gahnal. His knowledge of early hot rodding and customs is amazing.

  27. @Hamtown Al is right at the top of my list as well. I want to visit him in Historic Smithfield and hit him up for an ice cream cone.:D;) 26108.jpg

I have had the pleasure of meeting quite a few HAMB members at the bigger nostalgia races, Meltdown and the Jalopy Showdown drags at Beaver Springs, I met a fellow altered builder in Florida when I was on vacation a few years back . It has always been fun meeting folks who share your passion and have followed their builds.I would like to meet Jim Forbes if he makes it to Meltdown , I have enjoyed following his builds and i am also a SBC nut. The HAMB gets your car out there around the world . Its always cool when someone walks up at the races and says I have seen your car on HAMB

  29. I gotta meet { Jnaki }! The next time I get to the left coast I'm gonna look him up. Can you imagine he and I sharing stories? Surfing, Hot Rods, Drag racing, and grandkids. I'd better plan a few extra days just for that! Lol Ron.....

    Hey Ron,

Since we are in the susceptible category of this pandemic, being as old as we are, we have machine guns and electric tasers pointed at the driveway, all doors and double pane windows. We are strange, but relatively locked in place since March 2020. So, beware...

    HA !!!

No granddaughter sightings except for weekly Facetime gatherings... aawww..
