Used all day carefully cleaning up this `32 Roadster dash . It was filled , Chromed and detailed back in the mid forties. No trace of any welding up front ! Amazing :)

Very nice dash. Someone did some great work back then! SO-CAL has an insert like that, but yours looks old and neat.

Thats the type of work and craftsmanship that I'm afraid we're going to lose with the "new" technologies.
Mig/Tig welds are harder and don't lend themselves to good hammerwelding. It's buzz the panel together and grind it down.
I still like and use my torch.

It will probably take some time & $$ to fill it with the correct gauges , but it sure will be worth the effort :)
Here are a very simmilar dash (the doane Spencer car )

looks killer!!!! though I have to disagree with 4tl8ford....you can do that with a tig machine, a hammer and a dolly...I did it yesterday in fact, and if you use a tig machine and a piece of mig wire, the results are even smaller seams with less heat zone as well...anyways, awesome dash, Amazing what was done back in the day and still survives

Update : all I need now is a water-temp gauge & a speedometer , and this thing is complete. The steering wheel I got from Bruce L will make this setup look even better :) :)

OMG - That is a work of art. Absolutely beautiful.

I've got a spare kidney if you'd like to swap ;)

A 32 never goes out of style, so there's no time limit. ;):D
