Hand brake cable for a 1934 Ford

    Since you said you like to look a pix to see what others have done, I used a Mustg II/Pinto floor mounted hand brake with Lokar Universal "Cut to Fit" twin cables. Quick and easy. Cables are hung with insulated straps/loops for the bends on their way to the backing plates.
    BTW. Nice job on your system.

    Thanks crminal. Thanks cerberus, actually I have the same Lokar setup in my avatar. I was trying to go for something less streetrodish, on this car, and plan to round the corners on the clevis to make it look less like a billet part.

    Have you tried the system yet? Does it give enough pull to hold the brakes tight, and the car won't roll?

    You can use the self adjusters from a 71-76 Chevy Big station wagon and the shoes too. I did.

    Not yet. I just tried to get full motion of the hand brake lever with the design. You get a lot of leverage with the long hand brake versus what you would get from a floor mounted pull up hand brake.
