You MUST find out if that is true.
Does the local P.D. have in car cameras? Did he run a plate check or radio in the license plate info?
Have your Lawyer subpoena the P.D. to release any record of that.

If it turns out to be true...you will have one less "dirty cop" in town and have the necessary means to build a kick-*** truck!

Absolutely. Most police cruisers have in car cameras, and they're usually rolling when someone is pulled over. This is especially true in DUI cases, as the intoxicated driver is forced to perform a field sobriety test in front of the camera, and the tape can be used by the state as demeanor evidence in court. Even if you are pulled over and let go, there is still a record that you were stopped. Subpoena that evidence, and make sure you get yourself a good attorney.

Some dirty cop is about to get his ball deep fried around here after he was caught having *** with some chick in exchange of her getting out of a traffic violations.

Another one got busted for forcing ******s to have *** with him or go to jail.

I think most cops are good, but there are those sneaky ****ers mixed in with them who think the Gun and Badge are a ticket to do as they please.

And if the cop in question regarding chopt55bc's situation is one of the bad ones, that camera was probably turned off, or had a pair of ******* covering the lens......

Yeah...lawyer time. You are no longer just hoping the insurance will cover half the damage...you're going on the offensive against at least a couple of dirtbags.

Arabic post above...no idea what that's about. Computer started typing in Arabic suddenly, and I rebooted and it went away.

I will be waiting for the post that says he got the evidence of that cop stopping her...and i will be pleasantly surprised.

Doubt you'll get it. They have a way of taking care of each others backs if you know what i mean.

You still have a Good (great in fact) case to get your truck back and comphensation for Pain and suffering..

Dont let um play stupid on ya.!
yeah..your gonna need a money ****er..uh um i meant Lawyer. but I would work it this way..all your legal costs should be born the responsibility of the Drunk ***** that hit you. And do not back down one bit. and If you get the name of the cop and any witnesses..your gonna need those witnesses and their account of what occured and that they saw her get pulled over by him..or that will just dissapear into oblivion im afraid.

I really wish you the best of luck on this, and will hopefully be wrong about all the negative reality i posted here.
please let us know, I am pulling for you to slam dunk this..In their FACE!

I'm sure there has to be a good cop or two on the HAMB, they owe it to their good reputation to help weed out the bad ones.

I'm having the same same issue with dirty cops in my town. After I slid in the rain and destroyed my front end and face the cops got called. All was well until they cut my jacket off and saw the tattoo's. *** hat cop went from polite to I'm a drug addict and drunk, neither are true. Had major head trauma yet he still gave me a sobriety test, had no idea who I was at that time. Not trying to hijack post but I'm none to happy with law enforcement.

Osama kitty is cracking me up.
Good luck with suing the police department. Having a lawyer isn't going to make it a sure thing since their lawyers have a slight advantage. IT'll all work out though. Not quickly......but it'll all work out. And seriously they will need to close this thread if people turn it into bashing law enforcement.

Agreed. The hard part now is hurrying up and waiting for it to settle. Spend the time looking for another project so you don't stress yourself to death. Glad you're okay.

I wish you luck in your case, but in all reality the chance of proving that this actually happened are slim to none. The cops arent going to turn over anything that incriminates a fellow officer.Remember their motto"To Protect And Serve Each other":)
