Here are some pics of the set of 1961 Chrysler Imperial tail lights that I happened upon. They have minor pitting and could always use a good buff and polish. Most of the haze you see in the pics is from the polish and will wipe off. They have all the right part numbers and are not repos. The lenses are perfect other than a few small cracks on the base where the screws go. Any idea to what they are worth? Ebay is no help when it comes to pricing because there are not many to base it upon. Thanks! Here are the pics:
I have a friend who is slowly building a 61 Imp convertible. he also has a rather large number of old cars and he may need the tail lights. His name is harles and his number is 601 646 2210.Cadillacs from 50s, he has a few.....
There's a process to follow.......find the people who reared him, establish what diet they fed him, make an assessment of how efficiently he digested his feed......only then can you begin to put an accurate value on rocking horse poop.
Bet ya mate is pleased you gave his phone # to the world Not really a good idea, send a PM Cheers Rod
I had a shitty pair and ended up dumping them for $50 at a swap meet. Lenses are not reproduced, they're good for at least $100 a shot; with the nice chrome housings, probably looking at $200-$400 if someone needs them. I'd run a Good-Until-Cancelled, $500 Buy Or Best Offer, and when someone makes an offer, take it.
Nice chrome. I'll bet with the rocket shape frenched in, noone would guess what they would be......of course, stuck via pedestal on some rear fenders would look good too. No help on the value, but as previous....a no reserve 10 day auction would let you know what they are worth. Cool lights.
Rare piece but not a lot of potential buyers either. Gotta figure out how to get them in front of people who want/need them.
Those Chrysler Imperial Tail lights, if anyone watches this thread in the future, arebn't exactly cheap any more, on ebay.. but this is what they can look like, fitted to a Rod. My '35 Pickup in this instance..
