Today is "Big Daddy" Don Garlits' birthday. 76 I believe. I just got back from a small party for him at the museum. A few employees, Pat, and myself. We sang him Happy Birthday, and had cake. Nice. I gave him a Genuine "Area 51 inflatable love doll". He loved it! Maybe he'll give Pat a break?! I hope I have 1/2 his energy when I'm his age. If I make it. Don is in great health. Be grateful some of the few innovators are still here. They're disappearing too quickly. Happy Birthday Don.
I was watching the bonus features on the Heart Like A Wheel DVD last night, was a good "bench racing" session with Garlits, Shirley, and Connie Kalitta.
