What is the proper etiquette for painting a car in red/white/blue( flag). I would never want to disrespect the nation /flag/ by doing it incorrectly on a car. Or anything else for that matter.
I know the rules for the flag and how it is hung /displayed. I simply wanted to know how you would do that on a vehicle.

  3. Part of the Flag code that may apply, but doesn't address cars in particular. May fall under "decoration".

    • The flag should not be used as "wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery", or for covering a speaker's desk, draping a platform, or for any decoration in general (exception for coffins). Bunting of blue, white and red stripes is available for these purposes. The blue stripe of the bunting should be on the top.

I always liked red, white, and blue cars, I think it’s hard to pull off but when done right WOW

I don't think there is anything that says how a car should be painted as a U.S. Flag. Just don't use the colors as a decoration.
Now, if you are going to display the mini flags on a vehicle then there is no right or wrong way as long as it's not degrading to the colors. In other words, the mini flags can be displayed on any part of the vehicle. It does not matter if it is displayed on the right side or the left side front or rear of the vehicle.
Most place them at the front.
The flag code does state this.

My buddies and I did this to our cars we had in primer on 9/11. Kept them that way for a year. IMG_8880.png IMG_8881.jpeg

  7. The town parade is one block from my house so I get a lot of foot traffic past my corner lot. So every year I put my cars on the lawn for the people to see and they seem to enjoy it, this year I actually had 3 running at the same time.

It's good to live in the land of cool vintage cars and big V8s.

  26. Bill, I seem to recall in a past conversation that you have participated in re-enactments, would this be you behind the flintlock? HRP
