The hard chop coupe is going to get a quick Change so the roll pan is modified. Working on the louver layout. And a mount for the Crafty B fuel cap is made a blister for the cowl steering and hood side will match this.
Now that's a hard chop, cutting the hole for the fuel filler reminded me of the one 5 window with huge holes drilled all over the body, I will have to look for that photo.
I don't know. Of course I was only 9 when this was printed and i don't recall reading anything about him.
I liked at the beginning and liking it more on every update from Rex! Can't wait for the finished car .Im thinking it's going to be great.hope it's still there when I'm down for the hill climb.Im planning on stopping by the shop
Everyone to their own, but hell I like it and could give a dam what they think.......Drive the **** out of it. Workmanship is outstanding..
I like the car...I think the work you're doing is incredible and wish I possessed those skills. Being that I'm 6'4" tall, I'm not sure I could drive it comfortably, but if I had 4 others...why not?? I like the look and can't wait to see it finished up.
Everyone has there likes and dislikes, what maters to me is that the owner of this car likes it. If everyone liked the same car or project or we all stuck by strict rule book then this hobby / industry wouldn't be any fun.
Beautiful workmanship. And the more you take out of these bodies , the chop becomes exponentially tougher to do. At 38, I would have loved this chop and considered it "perfect". At 63, I've grown a lot more conservative, and 3 1/2"- 4 " would be my choice today. Keep up the great work.
I like hot rods, but I love radical hot rods. Don't know why, but I have since I discovered them at about age ten. This is right up there on my cool scale, and as I drive a chopped rod, I know the downside to it. You just adjust your driving to suit. Thanks Rex, for sharing your work with us.
I deleted most of what I posted earlier being the cranky old guy that I am. While the style and look of this build is not for me, it isn't being built for me anyway. The top is too low for my taste. If it was being built for me the lid would be higher With that being said I can still appreciate the high level of craftsmanship that is going into the build. Larry.
Very Nice work. Love the build. I'm really diggin the bobbed rear fenders with that chop… even though they are not for the car. Can't wait to see more progress pics!
