Thanks Rich, The Adaptor is just a turned aluminum washer. My car came from Lyndwood with round back spindles. There are nuts welded to the bottom front brake backing blate holes and a tap is wekldfed to the axle. My guess is this was for some wheel locking setup for towing the car. I finally saw a ophoto of the Lyndwood wire wheel dust cap. They are nice but it looks like my car ran a tapered cap. something i'll have to get machined.
Not sure if I'm helping you or you me. This setup is from an old FED I have. 1941 or so Willys axle and spindles, looks like they cut down the hub and bored out the wheel. The wheel is 18" w/ 40 spokes and avon tires. Inner bearing 15118 outter 09074. Having trouble loading pix.
Heres his pictures This is a good one,,Hub cut down and fitted with new races ,,Most likely a Cup style like a Motorcycle neck.
Thanks for the help. You think this is a HD wheel? It looks like the Willys hub was turned down and welded inside the bored out mc hub.
Its an old Harley star hub,,highly modified,,they were made in teh late 30's up til 1966,,,they changed a bit after that ,,then again in 72 I think
