Can i use front wheels from a Harley Davidson i my front engine dragster? If it`s posible, how fast can you drive with it?
Dont think you will find a set of Harleys that will fit an automotive spindle... We used to machine an Aluminium hub and respoke them using the cycle rims and spokes
Yes, you can use early harley davidson VL hubs(1933-'34). the hubs will need to be machined a little on the inside (just a few thousands) to accept the races. common set ups were the VL hubs with 19" rims & 3.25 X 19 tires on a ford spindle. Lyndwood Welding used this set up on there eliminator front engine dragsters in the late 50's & into the 60's till smaller/lighter after market hubs & rims became available. Pm me and I can send you the timken bearing numbers you will need to adapt the hubs to a early ford spindle ('37-'48) + pics if you need them. Paul
