I have a'62 olds Super 88, one day it ran real punky and a little strange noise ( really, it was a little odd but not like OMG loud) Seems the rubber strip between the harmonic balancer parts melted and disappeared, OR SOME DEPRAVED SOB STOLD iT!! Anyway seems these things just aren't laying about all over like SBC ones and the car has been beached all summer. I'll confess I haven't exactly killed yself trying to find one, asked a few people on ebay who were selling used 394 parts and they all wanted stupid money for them ( was there a gold option? ) anyway having coffee this morning I thought to ask the extremely knowledgable group here if anyone has fixed one, knows how or someone who does? Cheers! Matt
I've got rebuilt balancers done and on the shelf...... As well as any other part your 394 Olds could possibly need. Tony
I went to Ross Racing Engines sent them my harmonic balancer Pully for my 1956 Oldsmobile. They did an awsome job. It was real fast service and the balancer looked brand new when it was finished. The car runs great and is still on the road.
