Harmonic balancer squeak

Got a squeak at front of the motor ruled out water pump and alt by taking belt of and running it. Will at minix balancer squeak when going bad

Put a mark on it and run it with a timing light. Rev it up and if it's slipping the mark will move.

 

Yes they can squeak, and feel like the car is missing. I'm dealing with mine now. There are rebuilders on the web. If yours is a common one there are plenty of new ones. Mine is not common so I will have them rebuilt. #68 lincolns,2 years only Jack
