Harvey's Broiler Razed Illegally!!!!!!!!!!!!

If its already posted, sorry i missed it. Could someone let me know where this great looking place is, we will be flying into LA then driving to vegas and would love to visit if its closeish to on the way.

Since the Broiler's currently running on temporary power, generators have been brought in to power additional equipment to help shift the remaining jobs into high gear. The terrazzo pour should be seamless, they were able to match the original sample perfectly. I'll send Doug a photo to post showing the marble mix so you can all see what it's made up of. Electricity and gas is scheduled to be switched on early next week. And if you drive past, look up at the main sign and you'll now see Jim's amazing-12-foot- tall-circa-1964-Big-Boy awaiting his official unveiling! Our new Broiler's almost done! -- I can't add enough of these little guys!

 

WOW, Adriene and all who are working so hard,
Were all looking forward to the big day when we can all do as we did many years ago at "the Broiler"...

Hey Timebomb and Double nickle fairlane, Don't even sweat the drama, That's not what this place is all about. We'll let the other places deal with that. This is the Broiler and lets just enljoy what we worked so hard to bring back.

The HAMB will have their own deal (Again, a night right before the fund raiser),so keep that day open. It's a pot luck so bring some grub, Mr. Louder will supply the drinks. The restaurant may not be open yet but hopefully where we want to be is in the car hop area with the cars.

I had not checked back on this since the fool smashed the place until today when I picked up a ROD AND KULTURE magazine .

hi,it might be the weekend of the 25 th,I went by downey city hall and all thay would tell me was it was the end of sept and thay have not set a date yet, i will keep checking,see you there.

Paul (Roadsterpu) suggested we try to organize a group to cruise in all together. Any one interested in meeting at George's in Long beach ? Maybe meet at the anti donut breakfast then cruise up to George's then up to Bob's.

Yes. I am thinking of cruising up Bellflower through old town Bellflower. I think a long line of cars through old town would be really cool sight. I think we should start a separate thread on the cruise.

 

Us gals, and Ralfs56 at least, will meet you all at George's for the cruz over to the Broiler. I'd like to ride in a roadster if anyone has an empty seat.

We just need an address of George's at some point.

 

I was there with Kevin on Saturday, and its looking fantastic!!!

I got a bunch ofpictures of it, but cannot load them up whilst in the US, it'll have to wait 'til I'm back in the land of OZ.

We have nothing like these diners in australia - pitty.
