    If so, why?

I sold my '55 Chevy a year ago and have no distinguishing characteristics or cool nicknames.

So instead of gary55, from now on I'm just Gary.:)

    rdaugird became Richard D
    Grimlock became Kevin Lee

I know there have been more, but those two are right off the top of my head. I've toyed with the idea but someone already has my name on here so no soup for me.

There was a guy on here (Oltownrumbler, rednecksomethingoranother) From Florida changed his at least ever quarter for a a year or two. I forget all of his names, but I know he is on at least this third or fourth name. He had a little Pontiac Sedan if I remember right and a Little Roadster Pickup.

I changed from "Them!" to my real name. Got tired of meeting people in person and introducing myself as well as my pseudonym. Plus, using your real name keeps people more honest, and less **** talkin. I hope it becomes a trend.

i was modelAcoupe, but changed to general gow in the great name change incident of '04 mostly because i really like chicken.

i could have changed to mark phelan, but everyone pronounces my last name wrong anyway, so it doesn't make things any easier.

    plus, i really like chicken...

I've been meaning to send Ryan a PM, I'm "RabidScott" everywhere else on the internet, may as well be that here too. Either that or "Scott Howard", so people know who I am offline as well. I just haven't gotten around to asking yet, seems kinda trivial to me, and I always figure Ryan's probably busier than hell anyways.

used to be abelugo, changed to abe lugo, some forums didn't allow having spaces, also people couldn't figure out it was my name, they though it was "absolutely", but the bo-hump way of saying it "absoluly"

same name i signed on with... i dont want to use my real name, if you want my real name, meet me in person or perhaps do business.
when i meet hamb folk, i typical shy away from internet names, it sounds weird!! might as well be at an online game convention with the other elves and dwarves.

Hey Gary. I'm currently asking to change my name to 'Scooterville' since I don't have my '59 anymore. Thought i'd have that car for a long time, but stuff happens. This time i'm going request a name that's not related to a specific car.

I was 54F100 but my wife took over that truck so I changed to Jalopy Jim since my NEW daily drivers start at 100,000 miles young when purchased.
And my real name is Jim Hovind and no one pronounces Hovind right anyhow.

my old name had too many syllables...

now when someone asks what my HAMB name is
they just give me a blank stare when I tell them

come to think of it they did before the name change too

That's another reason i'm changing it. I met BobK at the Jalopy Showdown and when I told him my HAMB name he said it was long. And I thought, "well it does have 10 syllables". It was then I realized it was kinda weird saying it out loud.:D
