Hi Everyone, I am trying to setup a parking brake in my 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria, I have a 9" rear end with discs, but the disc kit is not stock, I purchased it almost 10 years ago from a company called Rod&Customs, the Part number is: RC 131. The link: https://rcmotorsportsinc.com/product/rc-131-bolt-on-rear-disc-conversion-kit/ For the rear right and left side, I have already purchased this cable, but not sure if it is correct: https://www.amazon.com/Raybestos-BC92453-Professional-Grade-Parking/dp/B000CPCH1I I am going to use the original parking ***embly, so the front cable should be original, I have checked and found this is this correct: https://cgfordparts.com/front-brake-cable-52-56-p***-except-55-56-conv-52-5-b5a-2853-d.html To sum it up, the front wire cable should be original, the rear cable that I already have can you please check if it is correct one for Ford 9" rear end. and for the middle section, I need a pull lever ***embly but do not know which one. I know that this is a little bit confusing, but it is what it is and I need to find a solution with your help guys. I did create another thread but forgot to mention the rear end which changes everything. I am attaching some photos which I think will help to visualize the situation.
If this place where you originally got the conversion kit is still in business, you might want to ask them for parts. Looking at the ends of the rear ables they look a lot like what a stock 56 looks like. I wonder if the stock 56 cable will work? What is the problem - old cables trash or didn't you ever connect the parking brake ?
