I,m sure its been done, but cant recall seeing one done as a hot rod.I have a line on a nice solid, fairly complete nash roadster, still has the motor, trans and all the stuff to sell off.I know they are a lot longer than an A roadster, and do have a little more wood in them, but I think Im getting it,and would like some info on them and pics if anyone has seen a body done up.Id like to keep it full fendered,as its all there and I think it would look silly as a high boy, being so long and with a rumble seat. Thanks in advance, hopefully someone has some input.Patrick...
norm grabowski has just started working on one---a four door with the body cut off behind the front door and made into a delivery with the new body made from old rusty barn tin. sorry no pictures yet.
My first old car was a '29 Nash sedan. Got it for free back in 1968. I was 15 at the time and in seventh heaven. It was sitting in a backyard in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. Chassis rails were enormous. The whole car was enormous, giant sized brakes with splitrim wooden wheels and a big six with twin ignition.( 12 spark plugs ) Also had it,s own chassis lubricating system that could be applied while driving. You sure will make a few restorers happy if you part out the unwanted parts.
I have some photos from a year ago that my buddy took,I/ll try to scan them.It does have the same motor of which you speak, big six, with dual dizzy,I hope its worth something to somebody,I sure as hell dont want it.It has the windshield frame, headlights,Its missing the bumpers and running boards.,,hopefully get pics up soon.thanks for the replys so far...
