That's only a few bills less than what I gave for my cabriolet, but that's been a few years now. Does seem kinda high but once you were done IF you did the work yourself, you'd be money ahead.

That's the way I originally read it....$100 and I was wondering what the rant was about...looked like a fair price to me.

Sometimes I see those cars (or parts pile) and wonder........

If they came with a ***le/vin.......and somebody was in posession of a real nice stolen car of the same make and year.........would they pay top dollar for a junker with legal vin and ***le?

If it was a 57 chevy & looked just like that- it would have sold for double- maybe triple.

It's worth what someone else is willing to pay.

lets put this one to bed..

I did place a bid. but it wasnt anywhere near the selling price..

I bid because I do have all the stuff to make it complete..

but still think that this is crazy money for what the seller sold..

and for those wondering.. NO I will not be cutting up my coupe for a convert.. ;-)

I'd have to be standing there watching money change hands before I'd believe it. NO WAY that pile of **** is worth $5100. I've seen to many bogus ebay deals go down. There's a few guys I know of, that "supposedly" sell cars on there for unreal money. Then you see them next week driving the cars... WTF? Their buddy's are bidding on the stuff trying to lure in a ****er.

I'll bet money within a week, that pile of junk is back on there for resale, with NO RESERVE.... Saying the buyer wouldn't pay. If not I'll be shocked. Somebody keep an eye out for it.
