Hot Rods Have you seen her?

  1. Regrettably, I traded off my '29 Tudor back in Oct. 2018 to a guy in eastern Kentucky. I know that he sold it a short time later and I am wondering what has become of it, I don't remember the name of the guy that I traded it to so I have no way of tracing it.
Here are some of the last photo's that I have of it... 117.jpg 116.jpg 115.jpg 114.jpg
    Anybody know of it's whereabouts...

Always liked that car Jim. Hope you can find it and it looks the same.

  4. This is often the truth. I sold off my Panel truck some 20 years back. I had driven it over 140k miles. I built it between 1969-1972. It was on a custom chassis that drove like a Slot Car. It was sectioned and channeled with plenty of Snot under the hood. It turned back up a few years back. It had been wrecked pretty good in the front and picked of all the Cherry stuff (4bbl Cleaveland motor, Swivel Monty Carlo seats ect) and turned out in the elements left to return to Mother Nature. Lucky a friend and H.A.M.B. member salvaged it from going to the Crusher. It returned back to the same address it left me from and it still makes me Sick and Pissed every time I handle it. Nothing we build by hand will ever mean the same thing to a person that just writes a Check for it.

Nice car but I have to agree with 49Ratfink, some times it is better to not know what became of your old ride.
The guy who bought my 51 Merc (in a basket) didn't build it as most of us would build a 51. I'm not a fan of the look he put on it but at least a wheel and tire change and a trip to the chrome shop with the bumpers can fix it. On the other hand I saw my buddy's old A roadster at a show and someone had pretty well made a mess out of a nice car changing it around to run what looked like 20 inch donk wheels on it.

Good point guys. I have had more bad luck than good when trying to find previous cars. Just watched a guy I know ruin my brothers old 54 Belair hardtop putting all kinds of O/T crap on it and losing most of what made it so cool...

Thus my comment about hoping it still looks the same.

  10. If/when you find it you may have to change your handle from 1stGrumpy to MoreGrumpy. I sure hope that's not the case.
