Does anyone know the past history of this car ? All I know of the car is that it was always from California. Supposedly, an old guy who owned the car since perhaps the 50's sold it to Danny Barger ( A '40 Ford collector from San Diego) back in the 80's. When Danny Barger p***ed away in 2004 it was sold off. I have been unable to contact anyone who knew Danny Barger or his family to find out where it came from. If anyone has any information on past owners, builders, or pictures of the car please post them or PM me if you want to keep that contact info private. The car has a peaked grille shell, louvered hood and a fuel pressure pump on the dash from the 50's. My intention is to build it back to it's early San Diego history.

Reminds me of the old Gray Baskerville '32 with the undropped headlight bar and small headlights.

You might contact someone in the Prowlers Car Club in San Diego (pretty sure you can Google them to get their website)- Prowlers have been around since the 1940's- good chance this guy was a member- good luck

Found out that the car was owner by Harry Peck(deceased) from San Diego from the 60's to the 90's. It was supposed to have been regularly raced at El Mirage prior to Peck's ownership. Anyone from San Diego know the car or Harry Peck ?
