Howdy all. I haven't been on here much in awhile. I have visited another forum though and have very recently been banned FOREVER. I have a 66 Mercury Monterey and I'm thinking about trading for a 61 Falcon. The Falcon is pretty nice with a 200 six from a 65 Mustang and a 3 speed in the floor. The body is pretty straight and has a decent paint job on it. The dude is wanting to trade even and so far the car checks out good. The tranny that's in it doesn't have a first gear, he says the syncros have gone out but you can still drive it in 2nd. That being said it does also come with a rebuilt 3 speed tranny. I was banned from the other place for telling the admin to go F a goat after he closed a thread I posted wanting a little feedback about the trade. He said that since it had paint on it "it didn't belong" Oh well. Nice to be back.
So you left here to go there. Got banned there only to come back here. Looks like we're the "better than nothing" guys! Yeah the Monterrey would certainly go away.
Never left here just didn't really participate. Lurked every now and then. Everybody goes through phases of what they want to do.
I probably wouldn't tell the Boss to go get busy with a goat either and we're friends. Live and learn I guess. I'd trade him if I needed basic transportation. The Falcon looks nice but I've owned one of those little ford 6s and they are just basic transportation. The little V-8 would make it pretty snappy and it looks like the pretty part of it has been done. So my feed back is yes trade the land yacht for the skip jack.
